He has totaled 1,011 points in his career, ranking 26th all-time in the ISU record book.

Brackins also received Big 12 All-Dumbass MVP.  no reason that kid should have stayed in ames.  LOL.  great talent though, he'll do well in the league if he ever decides he wants to play there.

I hope he goes somewhere like Minnesota or Chicago so Cyclone fans can still keep up with him once his days at Hilton Coliseum are over.

We're just hoping to make the tourny again. These last 3 years have SUCKED. I can see CB staying for a 4th year if Harrison Barnes commits to Iowa State... probably won't happen, but it's always good to have positive thoughts.

What's up with McDermmott's kid committing to N. Iowa?  Not good enough for ISU?  Didn't want to walk on?

I enjoyed never hearing anything about Iowa St sports and would like to keep it that way.  HH, please do not post anymore worthless ISU crap on this Kansas St board.  If I want to read about the worst Big 12 school's sports programs I'll find a cyclone board, but I won't.  So stop.  TIA.

NIT is probably a good goal for ISU.  You'll have to improve on that 4-12 conference record.  Don't really see it happening, though.

I don't see ISU finishing any better than 8th.  Firmly behind ku, UT, KSU, OU, OSU.  Probably finish behind A&M and MU as well.

I saw Doug McDermott play probably 6-7 times last year, and he just does not fit the system his dad has at Iowa State. The Missouri Valley is very team-oriented and Doug McDermott is more of a role-player than a playmaker. He contributed a quiet 10 ppg while Harrison Barnes would do the big plays, stuffs, dunks, etc.

I think a reasonable goal would be 7th in the Big Twelve, but a lot of people up here in Ames really think this is GMac's breakout year. We almost beat Texas last year, and quite a few of our losses were by 4-6 pts.. so a shot here or there and good number of our outcomes may have been different last year. I see us splitting with K-State this year. The only real embarassment last year was the loss at Colorado, a place we hardly ever win (didn't in 2000 when we made Elite 8). I can see ISU sweeping Nebraska and Colorado, and splitting with K-State and Missouri. We got a late win over Texas Tech last year and I think we'll be able to get a win over TTU again. Kansas (x2) and Oklahoma are losses, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State could be tossups, Baylor should be a win, and the fan in me is hoping for a win over Rick Barnes and the Texas Longhorns.

Dangerous mentality, brosif.  I know from experience.  About 3-4 years into the Jim Woolridge era I was saying the same thing.  Close losses are still losses.

I don't see you guys splitting with us.  We won in Ames last year.  This year, we'll roll into Hilton with the same roster plus two more NBA players (Curtis Kelly and McD's All-American Wally Judge).  Our starting five are superior and our bench is much deeper.

You might split with Nebraska and Colorado, though.

Good god, man.  You are a k-state fan.  Your school is a f*cking joke.

-A tiny, crying mexican
-A hideously ugly shooting guard that can't shoot
-A guy that was run out of UCONN
-A freshman that hasn't done a damn thing
-And a bunch of other people, I guess

And since your fball team sucks, this is what you are looking forward to.  emaw.

I'm thoroughly confused as to why I'm arguing with an f'ing Iowa State fan.  But, I can't resist.

Arguing football with an Iowa State fan is like debating modern art with a blind guy.

Basketball.  4th in conference with 2 wins against ISU.  But, hell, every other team in the north swept ISU as well.  I don't count Colorado.

Return the entire roster.  Add an all-american and the florida player of the year.  Every starter and half of the bench were Rivals top 150 recruits.

ISU has been irrelevant since the turn of the century.  Not expecting anything different this year.

Seriously, where do I get tickets to the Magic Show?

compare it to this lineup

- a tiny crying mexican
- an hideously ugly uncoordinated 7 footer than cant make layups or rebound
- a 6 8 white guy with knock knees and no post up moves
- a on again off again shooting guard
- a bunch of people that are NOT Beasley

and we took that lineup to a 4th spot and a first round bye. Impressive, eh?

Heard from a Cyclones fan that Brackins is a little eccentric. Not in a limp wrist kind of way but in a jort wearing kind of way.

I think ISU has good odds in Ames.  They actually have been recruiting.  Colvin is a nice pick up and actually gives them someone in the backcourt that can help Brackins do something.  But overall our team is much better.  It will just depend on the day.
