Wow!  Great thread.  I just was discussing bierocks w/ a coworker today.

Is there still a german restaurant on Wornall?  There's also one in Independence square.  Not sure if either has bierocks.  Love them.

I will check that out.

I make them from time to time, but I'd like to find a quicker solution.  It's nearly October and here I am without a Bierock plan.   :ohno:

Pssssst, here is a secret......to make them extra wonderful, mix in some sausage instead of just using ground beef.

Dudes,

I found a place in KC.

Barb's Kolache Bakery LLC
Write a review
22354 W 66th St
Shawnee, KS 66226-3560
(913) 422-8300‎

Apparently she makes a good Bierock.  There is a Kolache place out on 135th, but no bierock's at that garbage place.

There's always a booth with bierocks at the Smoky Hill River Festival.  It's a must have for my tummy.

OMG, they actually turned out looking as good as the picture.

I changed the recipe and added sausage, some extra pepper, and ample amounts of fancy mustard as I ate them.

They aren't that rare.  There are a ton of kolache shops in the Houston area, especially.

Heck, my high school cafeteria put them on the menu occasionally.

Another quick way to make these is with pbury cresecent rolls.  My wife is a hunky from the Hill in KCK, she makes fantastic kolaches

I often times use "bierock" interchangeably with "puke".

Like "I wouldn't go in there, somebody bierocked all over floor."

Hey non-bierockers, isn't there a McChipoltle thread somewhere that needs updating? :curse:

Live with my grandma (bierock-making machine). Not as good-looking as the pic, but taste good. Doesn't just make regular ones, does Mexican-style (well, Tex-Mex?) bierocks, too.

If it were me, I'd put in taco meat, Monterrey Jack, onion, jalapenos, and....say with me here....diced potato, and peas (limited amount).   :lick:

Pretty much just seasoned beef, cheese, I think some tomato. Really don't have them often, but it was tasty  :lick:
I'll her make some in the next week or so to refresh my memory.
