Title: Dear Kansas State Golf Teams . . .
Post by: sonofdaxjones on September 18, 2009, 02:10:15 PM
of all the sports at Kansas State University you have been given the most for what you return to the athletic department.

1.  The School has built you a got damn golf course for crying out loud.

2.  The School and its sponsors have built you your own got damn indoor practice facility that allows you to hit golf balls year round out into a real driving range.

3   The school is about to give both men's and women's programs their own dressing rooms inside a got damn $5 million dollar clubhouse.

Could you please actually do something for a change?  Your like a got damn gold digger who doesn't provide any sugar in return.

Thanks, and go get'em

College golf is probably the last sport I want to see us dump money into. Think about it. Even if they were good, would you care? They play most of their matches away from K-State. What can we really get out of golf? Or are there some advantages that I'm just not seeing? I guess having a nice golf course improves the atmosphere of MHK. :dunno:

It's just like baseball, you gotta be somewhere that you can play all year round outside, indoor practice can only do you so much good.

I went to high school with a grandson of his.  Blue Valley Northwest, though.  Quietest kid ever.  Lived next to him in Haymaker.  Drove two different Escalades in HS.  (Gramps is/was sponsored by Cadillac.)

Player Colbert the other day.  Shot 71 (1 under) from the Purple Tees and 76 (4 over) from the tips.  The other day I went out and watched the women's team in a home tournament and man some of those chicks can flat out play.

K-State golf is a good investment... just go out to the Colbert parking lot on a game day and see all the money that's coming into town.  Donor money for golf makes it's way into the entire athletic program.

Well . . . waiting to see that.   Lets see the Golf Teams have been given about 15 million dollars worth of new toys over the last 9 years . . . it should be a rule that for $1 million in "new toys" a golf team gets, the Football and Basketball program gets $3 million . . . and that hasn't happened.

Can't argue with this ideology.
