Title: Technology Savvy People
Post by: cas on September 11, 2009, 06:34:31 PM
So tomorrow is EMAW vs. GEAUX CAJUN and I'm having a watch party. And instead of having people gather around a computer screen, how can I get the picture on my TV??

I get ESPN360 off of my computer but what I guess I'm wondering is how I can get what is shown on my computer to my TV screen.

Thanks.

EMAW

do you have a VGA input on your TV? That's one way to do it, man.

Would it be on the front or toward the back?

It would be on the back.  A funny blue shape with lots of holes in it.  It has your monitor plugged into it right now.

If you have an old standard def CRT TV you are probably f*cked, otherwise there is probably a way.

What TV do you have, that would help.  for the vga method, all you have to do is plug the cable into computer and tv and BAM it works.

Then no VGA for you.

I'll skip to the end.  Unless you want to buy an adapter, you're not going to get it on that TV.

Will buy and adapter. Not a problem. What do I need?

So I have an HDMI port on my laptop can I just plug that into my TV and watch it on there?  I do have HDMI on the T.V.

Also have a eSATA port what is that? It has the USB symbol above it but is not the same as a normal USB.

Rent a projector from the library and show it all movie-screen-like on your wall, bro.

Would be legit. But not really an option, not enough wall space at my casa.

Dude... you want someone to hold your dick today to pee too?  Drive your happy ass to radio shack.  Tell them what you want.  Buy the mother&@#%er.  Set it up.  Go make me a sandwich when you're done.  Thanx.

I tried to setup my laptop to my tv using a VGA cord but nothing showed up on the screen, even though I was on the right source.  :curse:

Anybody know what I might have done wrong?
