Title: Favorite Lifetime Show
Post by: Kat Kid on August 09, 2009, 09:01:31 PM
Personally I'm more of an Army Wives guy.  My wife favors Drop Dead Diva but always sticks around for Army Wives after DDD finishes up.

yeah.  They used to have really weird stuff on there, much more mainstream now.

I am excited for Project Runway coming over though.

Hey guys, have a great idea for a Lifetime Movie.  Young girl from the wrong side of the tracks (played by Danica McKellar...Winnie Cooper from the Wonder Years) marries a rich/handsome boy from the richy-richerson part of town (I'm seeing Rider Strong....Shawn Hunter from Boy Meets World).  Seems pretty idealic, right?  Wrong!  While their relationship and marriage is a cindarella story things turn sour quickly.  He spends long hours at the office and becomes abusive.  Nobody will believe her and he makes sure to remind her of this daily.  Who does she think she is?  She came from nowhere and will go back to nowhere if she ever crosses him!  As the violence continues to worsen she turns to alcohol and prescription drugs to deaden her senses.  Just when it looks like nothing will go right a friend from her past (played by Jodie Sweetin...Stephanie Tanner from the Full House....actually in her own real life recovery from drugs) emerges.  The real kicker here is that Danica actually pushed Jodie away when she started getting serious with Rider.  She thought that she was headed to richy-richerson lifestyle and had no need for her trashy poor friends anymore.  But, little did she know, the richness of a person lies on the inside.  True friendship comes to the rescue and Jodie helps Danica escape from her abusive life and come back to the arms of her real friends and family.  A twist emerges when it is discovered that Jodie actually slept with Rider when he and Danica were just dating.  She admits this thinking that their rebirthed friendship will once again be over but Danica shrugs it off and says how they both made a lot of mistakes and they will never again forget how much they mean to each other.  The End.

ot wonder years convo here but did you guys know that becky slater and winnie cooper were sisters in real life? yep. it's true. true fact here. should have named the show mckellar times two. maybe mckellar squared. maybe even mckellar trio minus one. dunno here.

Not that I ever really did watch, but way back in '93 I flipped by that channel and saw an ad for the network that said "Now that one of us is in the White House..." while showing pictures of the klintons.  Basically turned me off from ever watching anything on there again.

Replace Jody Sweetin with Soliel Moon Frye, and you have a straight to DVD classic!
