Title: Coaches poll released

Bentard, ku not ranked? What gives?

how CU gets votes in that poll every year.  There has got to be some rule about Dan Hawkins not voting his team 24th to start each and every season.

Irrelevant.  ku will get ranked when they chomp the soft, creamy outer portion of their schedule (first 5 games--noncon + Iowa State).  Then they'll drop 4 or 5 of the remaining 7.

Tech won't take long to get ranked, I've read their QB is awesome.

I was gonna say ...

Bentard is all gettin' jiggy wit it because of 52-21.  He probably doesn't realize how many people on this board secretly rooted for a blowout to hasten the end of the Ron Prince Experiment.  I know I did.  I love my school and these youngsters, and that is precisely why I rooted for the blowout.  Hey, removing a tumor is painful, but I'd rather someone I love experience the pain than keep the tumor.

Besides that, I was surrounded by Powertards who got in my face when I suggested that K-State didn't stand much of a chance in the game.  "WHY, HOW DARE YOU!  YOU RIP OFF THAT PURPLE SWEATSHIRT RIGHT NOW!  YOU'RE NO K-STATE FAN!  YOU'RE A FRAUD!"

Natch, I want anyone who gets in my face and questions my EMAW to go down in flames.

So thank you, ku.  Thank you very much.  You think you're rubbing it in.  That's like moking me for having sex with a hot girl.  "Hahahaha!  Catmatt had to get a hummer from Megan Fox!  Hahahaha!"

It was 52-14 when Mangino pulled the starters.  Score could have been a lot worse.  Oh, and please, for the love of God, quit acting like that game was all due to Ron Prince's coaching ability (or lack thereof).  ku clearly had more talent on both sides of the ball.  ku's offensive line completely dominated K-State that day.  No reason to expect anything different next season.

Shortly after that game, I put up some footage and bitched and moaned.  On that footage, you see K-State players constantly out of position, not wrapping up to tackle, and generally just standing around like they can't wait to get out of there.  There is one particular shot when ku punches the ball in at the goal-line and the KSU players don't even get down in crouches to try and built a wall.  They just sort of go through the motions.

That ain't being out-talented.  That's poor coaching (out of position), crappy teaching (zero tackling ability), and lousy motivation (note the apathetic body language).  Throw in bone-headed play-calling, like going for it on 4th down from one's own 30 or that stupid reverse or whatever it was on special teams that actually lost yards, and yes, you can pretty much bout a 90% of that game on Ron Prince.  I'm not saying we would have won with a different coach, and I'm not saying we'll win this year.  It will just be interesting to see how these kids perform with good coaching and motivation.

It's not just his game management that affected the team, he was also responsible for a fair amount of the talent and development that resulted in poor players being on the field. I don't think anybody will disagree that uk has a better, more talented team right now, and probably will for a little while.

Don't you guys understand?  The Gayhawk nation has to do this while we can.  How many more times will we be able to gloat over multiple consecutive scoreboards?  Not many.  That's how many.  Everyone knows that Snyd and his purple berserkers will soon bring the thunder on those posers.  Lighten up.

Jake Sharp didn't play the entire 4th quarter and still had 21 carries for 181 yards (8.6 ypc) and 4 TD.  ku out-rushed K-State 280-91.  The game was over by halftime.

21 points!! lmao.

Congrats on racking up 14 meaningless points on ku's 2nd string defense.  45-7 at the end of the 3rrd quarter.

I'm so glad it didn't end 52-14, would have been much more diffy to argue that in mid-august of the next year.

21 points! in lawrence! lmao.
