Title: One thing i missed with Snyds
Post by: kstate16 on August 06, 2009, 04:28:13 PM
He does not hesitate one bit to pull a QB thats struggling.  This is good because it seams we have 2 or 3 capable quarterbacks. With Prince it seemed that Free would have to f*ck his wife to get pulled.

I bet that wouldn't even have done it. Pretty sure that happened, or maybe that was Prince fracking the assistant coaches wives. Or something like that IDK, I'm confused...

That's because Prince had a huge hard-on for Freeman.  Every other position you can think of O-Line, D-Line if a player F'd up they were gone.

did he give up in 2005 when he never pulled evridge? he finally did for his final game and we won.

That's because Allen Webb owned Mizzou...

I don't think it's accurate to say we have 2-3 capable QB's.  And who was going to play instead of Freems?  Carson?

Going out on a limb Freeman might have got pulled against ku in 2006?
Snyder pulled every QB other than Chad May, against Rice in '94 he had Miller warming up when May ticked him off, never pulled him though

I think this is a notable stupid thread.  Freeman was easily our best qb at the time and for a long time.  Sure he struggled without an offensive line or capable receivers.  He also set most of our passing records.

Snyder would not have done any better with qb management.  Qb management was not even one of Prince's many problems.  And Free would never do Prince's wife.  I don't even think Prince does.

One of the many Prince failings was a lack of a competent backup at the position to push Freeman. Running off all the guys that would have pushed Freeman for playing time was not probably the best way to develop team cohesion and a young QB

doom is pretty much right on.  Playing anyone other than Freeman over the last three years would have been a mistake.  He was by far our best quarterback.

Freems made a lot of dumb mistakes...a lot. He couldn't manage a game to save his life. Sure he set passing records, but i remember countless touchdowns and yards he would have when we were down a significant amount and the other team's backups were in. I think we're in for a good surprise with coffman.  He may not be as talented as freems, but the guy has never lost a game under center, i think we should have at least given him a chance.
