Pretty much guarantees that's a College Gameday game.

Their pregame for that starts at 7, no?

We have 5 games on the ESPN network.
(7 if you count ESPNU)

Kansas State's Big 12 basketball schedule includes a pair of prime-time games on ESPN, the school announced today.

The Wildcats will play host to Texas in a Big Monday matchup Jan. 18, and ESPN will be in town when Kansas visits Bramlage Coliseum on Jan. 30.

ESPN2 will carry three of K-State's conference games: the Jan. 9 league opener at Missouri, a Jan. 12 home game against Texas A&M and a Feb. 6 trip to Iowa State.

Once again, the Wildcats will play some of their toughest games early in the league schedule. Five of K-State's first seven conference games are against teams that made the NCAA Tournament last year, and the Wildcats also play at Baylor during that stretch.

Since it's a six oclock topoff I think it guarantees that it's not a CG game. :banghead:

Can't be upset with seven national television appearences though. Possibly more depending on how we do in Puerto Rico.

complete phillips 66 big 12 sched here

ku @ mu is cbs. there is not a single big 12 game scheduled for 8 pm on a saturday night. who knows, maybe espn dumped the gameday deal, ksu-ku in mhk is the only one that comes close to the time slot.

if they don't have a big12 college gameday game this year, it will be the first time that they haven't had one. maybe they decided to move the college gameday game start time up a couple of hours. :kstatriot: :ksu:

C'mon guys, let's use some logic here.

Obviously the won't set the start time at 8 pm just yet since there is no guarantee that it will be the best game that day. I imagine ESPN agreed to do two or three games that day and set a start time of 6 that day for them. That will give them a few weeks to decide which game to make it Gameday. They'll switch around the other game times after.

No way they schedule the Gameday games this early. We still need to play well to get it.

I'm betting it will be Gameday.  January 30 is Winter X on ESPN, that is why the game is earlier.

ESPN Gameday in Manhattan... it's a brave new world.

makes sense. unreal. that game is gonna be glorious.

Young alum makes it kind of easy to pick packages, but if you do those deals it tends to be for crappy games no one wanted to go to anyway except the diehards who went ahead and got season tickets because they don't miss games.  Then you're missing the primetime games you really want to be there for.

We'll probably get Gameday, but know this: ESPN will send their C-team commentators to us.  They'll probably just dress someone up in a Dickie V. costume or some crap.

JFC, I cannot wait for Gameday to come (if true). As noted in some of my earlier posts, I went to Gameday in Lawrence for the game two years ago. Don't think that I mentioned that they have a State Farm booth thing set up outside the arena for fans to come and make signs on their own State Farm posterboards. It's pretty cool, but they have to approve the sign before they let you take it with you. I can't exactly remember what my first few attempts were, but they got shot down really fast because they were too inappropriate I guess. Surprisingly, they approved a sign that I made on like my fourth or fifth attempt which said, "Beasley for President GOD."

Dear K-State,

We were going to have Gameday @ your stadium, but instead we have decided at the last second to have it at the Chattanooga State-North Carolina matchup in Chapel Hill, because frankly, Dickie V likes the prostitutes there.  We hope you understand.  We have included a large package of dogsh*t with this letter as our sincere apology.

Your friend,
