Looks like a very well washed chunk of meth. Maybe we need to have a talk?

It has taken over Mexican Food's spot as sd's favorite food. I get the exact same order every time I go: Chicken Tikka Korma with muligatawny soup. I have looked everywhere for a recipe for Chicken Tikka Korma but have decided that my local place just created the recipe by taking Chicken Tikka spices and making them into a Korma recipe.

Got any pics of the naan? Garlic, or no?
Would love any naan making tips you can share. TIA.

I made nigella naan.
Naan can be a huge pain in the ass to make. Very tough, especially without a mixer.
Pointers: Mix in flour very slowly, use full fat butter and milk, and finally you need a cast iron skillet. I slapped the naan on the hot skillet for about 1:15 then placed under the broiler in the oven for another minute.
Sorry, no pics. They looked too ugly IMHO to photograph (very misshappen) but I will show some pics of the saag panner when I upload them.

Try ethiopian food yet?
My next door neighbor owns the indian place here in topeka. Love the stuff, all of it really. Fave is probably chicken tikki masala, veggie korma, lamb vindaloo or rogan josh. Also like chana masala. Mango ice cream too.

Chicken Vindaloo is the only other thing I ever get. I would probably love all of it but am to scared to branch out because I love what I get to much :ohno:

really like all/mostly all ethiopian food.
indian is hit or miss w/ me. i either really like the dish or absolutely hate it and want to throw it on the ground and rub it's face in the ground. don't like curry.

not sure what morrocan is like, but every time i've had ethiopian it's been served family style w/ some soggy bread type thing that you tear off and then use to pick up the food. like the soggy bread stuff. also, most of the ethiopian stuff i've had was kinda spicy. like spicy stuff. not sure how to describe the spices. lots of taste/flavor though. not bland.

Yeah, spicy is great.

Next time you're in NYC, try the chicken tikka rolls at this place: Roomali (http://www.yelp.com/biz/roomali-new-york)
Blow your mind.

I haven't gone to the Globe since the illegal worker died. But now that the owner's serving time in jail I suppose I can justify going back.

had a friend that would go to the globe during the lunch buffet and get it "to go". he would absolutely just murder that thing. would get enough food to last him for days. they didn't seem to mind, saul. hint, hint....saul.

unless I'm mistaken (I'm not) , the soggy bread you are referring to is called injera.

I don't go there anymore for fear of an awkward situation (kind of like the babu bat thing in Seinfeld)

completely agree. it's a shame that manhattan doesn't have an indian restaurant. then again, i'm pretty sure i've already eaten the best indian food i'll ever have (been to india 3 times). for christmas brunch at the leela palace in bangalore, they had the dough balls for the naan ready to go, and you just come up and say you want naan and they pop it in the tandoor for you really quick. it pretty much melts in your mouth.
