Big Men To Watch Off The Bench
Jamar Samuels, Soph., Kansas State: The biggest question surrounding Samuels is whether he will get an opportunity for an expanded role. Kansas State returns four starters and also welcomes touted freshman forward Wally Judge, the No. 18 prospect in the 2009 recruiting class. Samuels already has proved he can make the most of whatever playing time he receives. He averaged 8.3 points and 4.7 rebounds to rank fourth on the team in both categories last season despite making just two starts. Samuels delivered 18 points, six rebounds and four assists with no turnovers in a regular-season victory over Missouri. He had 17 points, six rebounds, five assists and no turnovers in a late-season win over Colorado.

Tough to say whether or not he'll have a better year (stat-wise) with the arrival of Kelly and Judge, but he'll definitely be a solid contributor. Judge can be a bit foul-prone, so JS should still see some quality minutes.

Is the '3' considered a big? And will he or Dom start at the 3 (thus, not come off the bench)?
I want the best 5 on the court. I'm doubtful he will be a big coming off the bench.
-
I bet he's starting the first game. Not sure that'll be the case come conference play.

I think Jamsam will start the first game and seriously doubt he plays the "3" spot.... :dancin:

disappointed fatty, poetwarrior or whoever has not done a Jamar highlight video from last season. He had some dunks, blocks, and nailed a few long range shots.
-
If he plays 3 or 4 not a big deal to me. He'd be good enough at the 4 spot on the defensive end, but our motion offense is good enough to switch the 3 and 4 on offense.

I better see more of JamSam this season :curse:
