Title: Dior Lowhorn
Post by: michigancat on January 20, 2006, 12:36:10 PM
I remembered Wooly wanted this guy and he ended up going to Tech.

He's averaging 8.2 pts., 4.1 reb., and is shooting 56.7% in 18 minutes/game for Coach Knight.

Damn he would have been nice to have.

Ivan Johnson was a bigger miss.  Lowhorn never even came on a trip even though early on (summer) it sounded like he might.

We got Johnson on campus, but Rusty's boy obviously paid him more than we could. :)

Wooldridge recruits thugs.

Your wrong.  He only became a thug once he commited to Huggins.  Nick Williams too.

In all seriousness, I think Lowhorn was a bigger loss than Johnson.  (We were pretty high on his list)

They're averaging similar stats at similar schools playing similar schedules, except Lowhorn is a freshman and hasn't been mysteriously suspended.

We were high in July and he was even supposed to visit in September, but all indications are that he never came.  For some reason we were dropped sometime inbetween.

We were in on Jeremy Mayfield longer who dropped his visit in October.  He ended up in prep school and signed with the Sooners this fall.

Another PF/C visitor was a kid who is redshirting this year at Wyoming, Travis Nelson.

Then Bruno Claudino who is putting up Hughes-type numbers at Arizona State.

Abdul Herrera (another thug) is still fighting for eligibility at Cincy.

Andy Kennedy is a handsome man.

Did you see their game last night? Andy Kennedy who has an amazing first name is a very excitable guy. Think Quin Snyder with no hair and higher doses of crack.
