K, you can have the first half of tix, and I will take the subsequent tix.

I mean the following:
I buy 2 seats, and then sell some individ game seats to the other person. Either straight up halfsies or conf only.

We split the price, we split the tix. You get the first 1/2 of the home games, I'll take the 2nd half. Seems fair to me.

K-State has a very solid group of returning players in Clemente (15.0 ppg), Pullen (13.9 ppg), Samuels (8.3 ppg), and Sutton (7.5 ppg). Wally Judge and Curtis Kelly should make an immediate impact in the post. I've heard Judge can also step out on the perimeter a little bit, so it should be interesting to see how Frank Martin utilizes him. McGruder sounds like a guy who will also come in and contribute right away. Then you've got incoming recruits Russell, Irving, and Henriquez, who all seem like unknowns at this point. Henriquez and Colon will likely be battling for the last spot in the bigs rotation.
I expect K-State to finish around 3rd in the Big 12 next season, right behind ku and Texas. Oklahoma will be pretty tough as well with the return of Willie Warren and a solid recruiting class. Overall, K-State is a team that looks like it will finish somewhere in the top 25, maybe even top 15. K-State's guard play is going to be very good, without a doubt. K-State's fate in the Big 12 and NCAA tourney will depend on how much production you get from Judge, Kelly, and Samuels. Samuels showed flashes last year, while Judge and Kelly were both 5-stars out of high school. The potential is there for K-State to maybe even reach the Elite Eight or possibly Final Four next season.
-
If we reach any point of the Final Four or Elite Eight it will be a magical season and basically you hand the Coach of the Year award for Frank Martin. No question about it.

S. 16 should be the goal. The period between the second and third games of the NCAA has to be the greatest BBS'ing period ever.

QFT. Feels good to still be on the bracket after the first weekend.

not sure if this applies to wins over double digit seeds.

why? ou is far more talented. bu and osu also. a&m is about equal in talent + more experienced.
you give the edge to coaching?

this. while I think we'll have a good team, finishing top 6 with a ncaa bid (7/8 seed?) would be my goal.
-
all those good south teams have to play each other twice though while kstate gets nubb, isu, colorado, miz twice. third place finish doesn't sound outrageous even though we're not the third best team. what'd we finish last yr-4th? we weren't the 4th best team.
-
GMAFB you guys. We are Kansas State for f^ck sakes. When DON'T we get a first round bye!? :gocho:

sd is always the cold splash of reality this place needs

K-State is clearly the 2nd-best team in the North, and should have their way with everyone besides ku. Mizzou might be a bit of a challenge in Columbia, but K-State should have the better team. Factor that in, along with the fact that the Big 12 South teams will likely beat up on each other, and I give K-State the advantage when it comes to finishing 3rd in the overall standings. Also, with guys like Judge and Kelly coming in, I'm not sure Oklahoma's more talented than K-State.
-
I'm not sure Oklahoma's more talented than K-State.
they have two guys that are going to be lottery picks whenever they leave. plus another mcd's aa and several other top 100 and near top 100s. they don't have much experience, but they have great talent.
-
we have the obvious coaching advantage sys, and you know it.
-
Is Gallon really a lotto? doesn't change sys's spot on point, but still.

The OU roadie will be hard, but I like OSU, UT and A&M @ KSU. Baylor & Tech on the road... We clearly have a favorable schedule against the South. The stars are aligning.

Like beat ku once and win the 12 aligning? or like get 3rd in teh 12 aligning?
-
Setting over/under on Big 12 wins at 12. Thoughts? I am usually foolishly optimistic, so feel free to talk me down.
-
We will lose to ku twice and probably twice more in the north among the tards. We will probably be either 4-2 or 3-3 in the south. So, I say 10-6 (as usual).

Does anyone think we'll win the North Championship in basketball this year?? If we do, do we get a trophy, or do we have to make our own??

I think it's a banner. :hope:

Predicted starting lineup:
PG - Clemente
SG - Pullen
SF - Sutton
PF - Judge
C - Samuels
Bench: McGruder, Kelly, Henriquez, Colon, Irving/Russell
K-State will be much more inexperienced than I expected... mostly because of transfers from Fred Brown and Ron Anderson. I'm mostly interested in seeing how talented guys like Kelly, McGruder, Henriquez, Irving, and Russell turn out to be.

I don't think calling Samuels our center would be accurate.

So you think Judge will be guarding Aldrich?

I could see that, but then again, Rivals lists Kelly as a 6'7 small forward.
:dunno:

Well, I list Collins as 400 lbs.

I believe Samuels is also 6'7. I think Kelly will start in the frontcourt with Judge, and I think Judge will guard Aldrich. Samuels will probably be the first one off the bench.

It's amazing how Nubb fan like Ben is.

That's possible, although I doubt Frank Martin puts his most productive post player on Aldrich. It will most likely be Kelly or Samuels, unless Colon/Henriquez surprise everyone.
-
I'm drinking the kool-aid...I think we finish 2nd the Big12, behind ku, they are stacked (yes I threw up in my mouth as I typed that)
I think that Baylor, UT, and OK will beat up on each other.
As long as we don't screw around and lose one we shouldn't (Like the nebraska game last year).

Prob throw a little bit of everyone at him. Try to wear him down, let Colon use up a ton of fouls and possibly punch him a few times.

Yeah, I think colon will be the body to put on Aldrich to wear him down, beat on him with colonsburough, then let samuels and Judge work him on the offensive end make him work all game. JamSam better not be our post, would be less surprised if he was a 3 at some point in the season with Kelly, Judge, Colon, and Henriquez down low. And I would not be too surprised if Colon starts at the beginning of the season. You know how Frank likes the hustle guys.
-
Frank has his line-up set up the way he wants it. Memphis did not have a true center on their run. Robert Dozier was nowhere near a bruiser. Frank's teams have all been molded in the way that Calipari's squads were. I don't really care if we have a true center as long as we play tough defense and have a solid rotation. Would have preferred to have Ron than Colon, but our depth is solid for bigs. Colon, Judge, Kelly, Samuels and Henriquez. Besides for Colon that is four guys you can plug in. I have high expectations for Henri, so that's why I count him. It's a dangerous dangerous team folks. If Dom gets his game going than we go far.
-
Biggest possible improvement for KSU - front line play.
2nd biggest (but most unlikely) Sutton learned to take a jumpshot.
-
Memphis had Dorsey and Taggart as well as Dozier...still not much :ku:
-
not really fair to KSU players to compare them to Memphis' weak ass sh#t. they couldn't even 84-75 them like we did w a bunch of freshman and retard upper classmen.
-
one loss in non-con (two tops), and 11-5 in league... loss in semis of b12 tourney and loss at the sweet16 level of the big dance... where does that put us? 26-7 or so?
-
loss in semis of b12 tourney
would really suck. i want to win that tourny so we can be big 12 champs. at least make the finals for once.

Nope just a sticker they put on the purple wall around the rim of the OoD, they save all the banner space for estro-baller jerseys :banghead: :barf:
