interesting.  if i'm off the green just a little beyond the fringe i sometimes prefer to "chip" with my 5-wood instead of a wedge.

One time I beat my friend and I only used my driver, fairway wood and pitching wedge.

I once beat this rich guy at the country club with a rake, a hoe, a baseball bat, and assorted garden tools (and Cheech on the bag).
