Beasley and Dempsey are an embarrassment.  Jozy gets absolutely zero service/support.  Donovan is our second best outfield player to a freaking holding midfielder.  We are terrible and until we get more talent we won't get better.  Btw ESPN coverage is insanely annoying with Alexi Lalas and that other moron constantly pimping MLS as though that is the way forward.  No.  The way forward is not more coddled Landon Donovan penalty specialists weak on ball losers.  The way forward is a serious youth development system that pimps talent out to European clubs young.  I'm sick of hearing about how "we'll grow our talent here."  Um, no.  The league is a joke, the talent in the league is a joke and the coaching at every level is awful.  Get anyone with a whiff of talent the hell out of that cess pool of MLS.

The games I've seen it seems as though we just run out of gas in the second half.  Maybe our players aren't eating enough orange wedges at half-time?

The goal is so big.  Why not just kick the ball super hard towards the goal when you get over half-field?  Probably at least 1/2 would go in.

Waks that red card was legit.  When u go in that late u leave it up to the ref and given the amount of reds shown he shouldve known.  Then again being a country that racks up reds is a srs intimidation factor.  Going in to hard challenges helped us last two games.  That will hurt us but might get fehlhaber into starting lineup.  I say brasil 3-o.

Altidore is apparently going out on loan from Villareal to the Greek champions, Olympiakos. (http://goal.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/07/11/altidore-to-olympiakos-report-says/)  should get some PT there for the side who has won the Greek league 12 out of 13 years.

he should also get some Champions League experience.   they are entering the competition in 3rd round qualifying and will have to win 2 home/away series starting the last week of July to advance to the group stage of CL 09-10.  it's a long shot he'd get there quick enough at this point to participate in the qualifying rounds of CL 09-10.

fyi, my Jozy to Olympiakos post looks like complete BS.  he is still doing preseason training w La Liga's Villareal.  which is good I guess.  a loan to Olympiakos might have guaranteed some playing time.  but it might be that he could win some playing time with Villareal which could happen especially if they end up selling Giuseppe Rossi

Donovan played 90 minutes w the Swine Flu.  thinking he would have contracted down in Mejico City where he was getting crap thrown all over him while taking corners.  but apparently he tested positive for it from blood taken last Sunday.

disappointing game.  not sure what B Bradley's thoughts are here.  his central midfielders were playing sooo deep that his son M Bradley was sitting in the back of the goal when Mejoico hit their winner.  it's kind of hard for the defenders to release through the midfield when their central midfielders are playing behind them
