Title: Best cup of Joe in town?
Post by: LimestoneOutcropping on June 14, 2009, 09:58:05 PM
I live in KC so I would start with KC places but feel free to mention the best in your respective town.

I really like The Filling Station.  Good brew up there.  Latte land used to be my favorite and I lived across from the Plaza (Jefferson St.) one but it has slipped down the list because whenever I go there the line is redic.

that latte land is across from my place, i don't drink coffee but do like their cold drinks. and they are busy a lot.  i get mad when people in front of me order drinks that are hard to make.

my fav place would prob be high hat next to pembroke hill.

Yes, their cold drinks are good.  The folks who somehow don't have their mind made up after staring at the menu for 10 minutes also piss me off.  Or that don't know you can't stand right there and wait for your mornig cup.

I will try hihat this week.  Never been.  Good place for non-alcoholic 'paker for the early rising EMAW'er?

Best coffee I have ever had is from Dunkin' Donuts....and it is always the best in every city I am in.  Amazing consistency in the quality.

I'll drink anything that isn't decaf and doesn't taste burnt.

question for coffee lovers out there worldwide - is it the coffee shop, or the coffee?

Just there with the Mrs. the other day.  Friendly staff, good Americano.

And to answer the question of Clams...it is like 65% the shop.

RD, you must love African Sumatra

On work days, 100% the coffee.  (More caffeine, please!)  On weekends, 95% the shop.
