KSU would be kind of foolish to not be interested, IMO.  I'd love to have this guy on our team.

So would I, however during the updates this summer it always seemed like Evans was alot more interested in KSU than vice versa.

We helped get him into Butler...I'd take him over any non-GRCOAT member out there.  I think our lack of interest had more to do with PR than basketball skills.  A year at Butler will allow the PR issues to pass.

We need shooters.

Well, I sure want him at K-State.  He was railroaded by an overzealous prosecutor, and only plead to the misdemeanor just to get his life back on track.  Yes, all the Hawktrash will have a field day yapping about our newest criminal, but they do that anyway.  I would imagine that Tyree doesn’t sign until spring, and Huggs hold one scholarship until then.  At that point the only way Tyree doesn’t get that ride is 1) if he screws up at Butler or 2) if Mayo decides he wants the scholarship.

Well, I still want Sutton, so as long as he doesnt take Suttons scholarship Id be happy.

No.  Evans can shoot.  Sutton cannot.

room for both.  at least 3 schollies left.  assume 1 for walker.  i'm fine with 3 wings for the last 3 definite spots.

Something tells me that isnt gonna stop Huggs from going after Sutton. Id like to have both Evans and Sutton, but if I had to pick I think I might rather have Sutton. Sutton is actually more of a post player than a guard, so getting him wouldnt hurt. People say he is similar to PJ Tucker, sign hum up. Evans too.

I would sign Evans in the fall, and give Sutton Mayo's scholarship in the fall if he doesn't pan out.  I'd still like a Dejuan Blair-type PF, too.

I agree, to wait for Evans in the fall. I think they want to see if he stays clean. The one concern is, what if he goes crazy and everyone else goes after him. Even still, I think he wants to play for Huggs. As for Sutton, if he wants to sign in the fall, he will sign in the fall. No way you tell a top 60 player to wait. Like I said, I think Sutton can play PF, and is a poor mans Charles Barkley. If another cholarship opens up, then Id like to see it go to a 6-7, 6-8ish PF.

You save a scholarship for Mayo no matter what.

I don't know if you hold one back for Mayo, but if he decides to come you find a way to make it happen.  That can be mean many different circumstances, and as a last resort you jerk a scholarship from an existing player and hopefully the kid can pay his own way and walk on.  But it always seems that for one reason or another there is an available scholarship that was unforeseen.  That happened to K-State a couple times since last spring when we thought these was only one available...

He won't screw up at Butler...there's a person following him around just to make sure he stays out of trouble.

How does Butler afford that?

Butler should get some great pr because of Mr. Evans. Just think we will get to watch him as well. Should be interesting to see how well he does! :woohoo: :woohoo: :dancin: :dancin:

The funny thing is, Tyree about got kicked off the team at Butler last week for a combination of skipping class, having an attitude, and talking back to the coaches.  If you read the last paragraph of the article you can get a hint of what they are referring to.  Nonetheless, they think they can change his attitude and get him ready for K-State.  He is an OUTSTANDING shooter from long range.
