60% of the time, Guitar Hero is gay every time.

Yes, that is a fact. It's science.

I am the second best rock band drummer of anyone I've ever jammed with :gocho:
-
air drums is my best "air" instrument. i'm forever flipping the sticks up and catching them behind my back and then i seamlessly go right back into drumming. never miss a beat.
-
We should have Kat Pak'r jam session.
"That's Rick Daris over there on the drums everybody." (Crowd erupts)
"And Steve Dave on the guitar..." (Crowd very silent, random jalapeno pepper thrown on stage)

Electric or acoustic? And how far back do you want to go? The first couple of Sabbath albums & Priest's British Steel are crazy easy all the way through.
-
We had this very thread about a year ago with clams. iirc he became some sort of rock and roll god.
-
If you're playing electric Theory of a Deadman's albums are all incredibly easy to play for beginners.
If you are playing acoustic you could learn the typical "Wonderwall" or any country song. Time Marches On by Tracy Lawrence was the first country song I learned to play. Usually the rhythms are easier to get used to as a beginner so even if you dislike country it is worth learning to play some of their songs.
Ryan Adams (best songwriter of all time) has so many songs that he actually has quite a few that are easy to play as a beginner. His harder songs give you something worth working for.

d00dz, I recently aquired Rock Band for my xbox 360 due to a cousin breaking his xbox (thanks, "Watts-Up?"!)
Anyone ever get the idea to get a mic stand and totally rock out Dave Grohl style on the drums and sing at the same time? Can this be done, or am I getting a little too big for my britches?
tia, bras.

You just outed yourself as a huge Phil Collins/Genesis fan. Dave gave up the drums when he started FF.

If you learn 5 basic chords, you can pretty much play the entire collected works of Tom Petty. Add in D-minor, and you have 90% of Matchbox 20/3rd Eye Blind songs.

How many until you get to good bands?

Play the A, D and Em as bar chords, add in incendiary finger-picking and haunting falsetto vocal riffs, and you have my acoustic cover of the Grand Funk Railroad.
But pretty much every band uses the same 5 chords in different order.

Their songs are harder than they look. Some of them are simple enough but most of them are fairly difficult.

I'm sorry you apparently lost your thumbs. Tough break. All the best.

Their lead stuff is pretty tough. :dunno:
Their famous songs are very easy, but never listen to them so I was talking about all of their other songs.
