Title: If MU goes to the Big 10..
Post by: steve dave on May 22, 2009, 12:16:04 PM
Who will ku's rival be?  I don't agree to let them be ours because we need to concentrate on TX 24/7.  NU has always wanted to be our rival too so ku will have to get in line behind them as well.  Also, who does the Big 12 pick up to stay at 12?  I say we force football on Wichita State and take them.  Easy "roadys".  Obvious choice would be CSU I guess and I wouldn't mind visiting Fort Collins more often.  Plus, it would have to be a "northern" school or else one of the Oklahoma teams would have to join the north (WE PICK OU!).

Ive been pissing and moaning for CSU for years, but I dig MU... I was hoping for ISU to drift off into obscurity.

Our rivals will be as follows:

Florida, Ohio State, LSU, UGA, Tennessee, UNC, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, Wisconsin, Alabama, Arkansas, California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Colorado, and, most importantly, Idaho.

Every day of the week will feature a rivalry...JFC how elite

so instead of getting killed by OU every two years u want it to happen every year?

DAMN Division of Athletic Mediocrity North.

Given the time and energy it takes to constantly beat Texas in pretty much everything and remain smelling delicious . . . .there's simply no time to even consider another "rival".

I mean seriously . . . beating texas, smelling great, trying to squeeze in time to prop up sister schools like Duke when they're down.   That just doesn't leave much else on the old schedule.

I have been thinking about adding UCLA to the rivalry chain but USC will just get mad about being supplanted.  But, after not beating us in anything, ever, can USC really complain when we decide to move on?

Maybe tcu enters the Big 12? Iowa? CSU makes the most sense though.

I think we should take a long hard look at Arkansas and then taking OU back in the North.  Arkansas are the type of mouth breathing morons that will fit right in with Aggies, pokes, raiders, bears.  ut would be humiliated and be even more elite just to try and distance themselves.

would be awesome imo.

Limestone has a great point, you know Pete Carroll has a big poster of Snyder up someplace hidden away, and from time to time he goes and admires and talks to it . . . asking it for knowledge and wisdom, other times, cursing it and knashing his teeth.  Across town Rick Neuheisel wonders aloud while alone at a bar if he'll ever be let into the rivalry with K-State.

Do. Not. Want.

Football is for the gays. But if we did start a footballer unit at WSU we would probably beat ksu and ku like every single time. Bill Parcells coached at WSU and I'm sure he left some of his magical Tuna juice lying around somewhere so we'll just find that and use it to build a dynasty. Nothing could stop us.  You can't argue with facts.

Doubt there would be enough money after renovating Cessna Stadium to buy a decent plane and hire a good pilot that won't crash.  JMO

My thoughts exactly when I saw the subject. Misery ain't going nowhere (except to the woodshed now that we've got Frank Martin, and Snyder is back)! Give it up. :whocares: :spam:

I know how you feel.  I like the fact that Kansas has dominated the team (KSU) that has dominated both USC and Texas.

Mizzery will never go Big 10, but if they did, my preferred replacements would be:

1.  Arkansas
2.  Utah
3.  tcu
4.  BYU
5.  Tulsa
6.  Colorado State
