The Kansas Board of Regents has declined to release the findings of an audit it commissioned to mark the transition of Kansas State University presidents, claiming an exemption to the state's open-records law.
The Mercury filed a formal request for the audit last month. According to a May 12 response, the Board conducted a "2009 exit analysis of Kansas State University President Jon Wefald focusing on certain non-state accounts administered or controlled by the President or his direct subordinates."
The Regents, however, said the findings of the study are off limits.

How is that exempt from the Sunshine laws?

Gov't agencies only share audits of themselves when the results are favorable. It's, like, the law and stuff.

I don't understand the question...what frack ups are you referring to that aren't already public knowledge?

He had so many public ones, there are bound to be a few we don't know about as well.

do you really think we know all of them?
I mean it got so bad at one point they had to run a "we're sorry 'bout that" article just to stomp out the flames.
That's when its really bad and when there are other instances that are on the books but not made public. Wefald fracked up things royally with Weiser, Prince, Huggins...etc....I bet we'd be shocked...hence the Regents telling the public to "just forget about it."
K :yuck:

I'd bet there are several Krause type deals where he vastly overpaid a friend in what is essentially a fraud on the University. If it isn't obvious, KSU owes weefs everything and he intends to collect before it is all said and done.
