I think I like them...  I've tried them, but always when I'm in a certain condition so that I don't remember well the next day what they tasted like.

I am a veteran Dark and Stormy drinker.

I prefer Cruzan Black Strap Rum and Archer Farm Ginger Beer with a squeeze of lime.  Perhaps the most delicious drink ever made.

The dark rum with the seal on the bottle is actually called Goslings iirc.

Speaking of Ginger Beer.

Schweppe's used to make the best ginger beer around and I'd use it to make some AWESOME Moscow Mules .......until Schweppe's cancelled their Ginger Beer brand.

You can't find anything that is worth a damn now.

Moscow Mule
 1. 6-8 oz Copper mug (important)
2. 1/2 shot Fresh squeezed lime juice
3. 1 shot of vodka
4. top with ginger beer. garnish with lime

5. have about 3 of them on an empty stomach and we'll chat about Ron Prince and how Snyder is going to bring back the D0D.

What the Bundaberg?

That stuff makes the best D-n-S in my book.

Have you tried the Cruzan Black Strap yet?  Makes you never want to go back....

not bundaburg no.  can't remember the name of it, (not home right now).  this is some organic crap they brew on some hippie farm in idaho or somewhere less significant.

haven't tried the CBS (cruzan black strap) rum yet.  only thing they have at my store is goslings.

bundaberg rum is v. good for stormies (see above treysolid post).  bundaberg also sells pre-made stormy brews which you'd have a hard time finding if you don't live in australia or next to a very good international food store.  i make my stormies with reed's jamaican style ginger beer (sold in dillons health food section) - v. refreshing and actually better with goslings and 10 cane (technically not dark rum, don't care, still delicious) than bundaberg.

Clams if you organize an D&S 'paker in the 816 you can almost be guaranteed I'd attend.  I am really getting fired up about this beverage's reemergence in my life.

just a quick D&S update this week guys-
had an elite D&S session on Friday night after work at Capital Grill, session probably lasted 2.5 hrs.  the rum used was Meyers again as it is the only dark rum that Capital has on their bar.  they have a canned ginger beer which is the same ginger beer that Reverse uses in their Dark & Stormies.   i like it, perfect balance of ginger taste, also good sized carbonation bubbles.

Saturday's D&S session was held on the patio of friends house.  Ingredients included Goslings and Archer Farms ginger beer. Session lasted several hours - approximately 3.5.

Next weekend's D&S session will include the aforementioned Bundaberg rum.  CANNOT WAIT TO TRY.

Fixed myself a v. large Goslings/Reeds stormy last night.   It was delicious and probably imbibed too quickly.
