what was Barry Collier and Melivin Watkins record before they went to their big 12 schools?

Watkins was 42-20 a UNC-C.

Watkins:  42-20 (.677)  in two years at UNC-Charlotte.

Collier:  196-132 (.598)  in 11 seasons at Butler.  20+ win seasons each of his last 4 seasons.  One 20 win season is his first 7.

You see, Mr. "fatty fat fat", Washington State and Clemson are in what are known as "major conferences".  As a rule, it is tougher to win in a "major conference" than a "crap conference".

Winning 20 games in Pullman is damn tough, he did is twice.  Based on that, and his other successes, Kelvin so deserved a jump to a better program.  I doubt there was anyone who watched the Pac 10 at that time that didn't think he would suceed.
