The Aztecs, who have a bye this week after opening the season 0-5 for the second time in four years, are allowing an average of 32.8 points. It's a statistic that has soared over the course of the past three weeks, with SDSU allowing 38 to Utah, 31 to San Jose State and 47 in Saturday's loss at BYU.

Nationally, the Aztecs rank 108th (among 119 Division I-A teams) in scoring defense, are tied with Louisiana Tech for 118th in sacks with two and are allowing opponents to convert on third down 50 percent of the time, which ranks 114th in the country.
