era is rapidly drawing to a close . . . I've heard only about 24 or so days left.

The greatest era that any President of anything has ever had. During his tenure, he increased enrollment 450% and donations by $78 billion...

donations by $78 billion...
Would like to see what that comes to after being adjusted for inflation.

I'm curious how that compares to other schools. Probably pretty similar, I'm guessing. Not saying that he hasn't done anything for us, I really have little to no idea, but his belief that he knows what's best for the AD and can intervene whenever he wants hasn't exactly helped us. I also heard that when he first got here he tried to eliminate our architecture and engineering programs. Brilliant move, had he done it.

His ruined his entire legacy when he did everything in his power to destroy the athletic department.

yeah, given the access that people gained through government/private loans for college and the general progression of the economy, I bet if others did a survey their enrollment would have spiked as well.
it's like being a parent of a kid that won the lottery or something and then taking credit for the kid's wealth because you gave him the dollar to go buy the lottery ticket.

Sorry, I left the italics off my post. Those aren't real numbers. Not even close. I was aiming for hyperbole.
My post = FAIL.

No, I got it. That's why I made the inflation comment.

Many of his fellow faculty members at Gustavus-Adolphus College laughed at Jon Wefald when he told them one day he would travel to the Flint Hills of Kansas and found a large research oriented land grant university. He even had a name picked out . . . Kansas State University.

Meh, I didn't. And I should have, the 87 billion seemed a little steep and I'm pretty sure our enrollment hasn't even doubled since he's gotten here... but yeah, Wefald = :flush:
