ask lots of questions about bball recruiting.  and don't accept crap like "it's going fine".  get real answers, even if it means being extremely rude.

I want to know:
1) What people are wearing
2) How much they appear to be enjoying Scott City.
3) If Bob Krause signs and hats.
4) Is Dpete coming
5) Any Mystrans info.

1)why didn't awaji play more last year
2)should awaji have played more last year
3)would awaji have played 40 minutes this year and averaged over twenty ppg
4)is awaji transferring to another school or going straight to the nba
5)will the ksu wildcats mens basketball team win any games this year without awaji (maybe ask him to elaborate if answer is yes. ie-win games in ooc or conference or both.

1.  Why is Bob Krause still earning a paycheck for KSU after his extremely hurtful tenure as A.D.?
2.  Why do we not have an A.D.?
3.  Will we get an A.D. of the caliber of Lew Perkins, and if no, then is it because of the buyouts of Weiser, Prince, and Wieser's football scheduling?
4.  Why aren't we forcing Snyder to donate his entire salary to facilities projects?  Christ, he'd &@#%ing pay US to coach again.

Because he's married to Jack Vanier's daughter.

Ask Frank if he's seriously still trying to recruit Latavious Williams.  If he says he is and he thinks our odds of landing him are good slap him and tell him to go beg Fred or Buchi to come back.

Also find out why we're still paying Weiser, the guy who quit, money. I really want to burn this university down sometimes.

I think I'm going to have to pull Frank aside to talk about most of this. Most people would look at me asking these questions and would be like "WTF? Basketball recruiting?? All you need is coachin'!"

it's not like we are currently recruiting anyone exciting.

I want responses from every notable ksuer there to the question, "How do balls taste?"

Also ask everyone there if they've met the new AD and then point to the dirtiest hoboest looking guy there and report back on who buys into it.

Ask about Asprilla.  Get confirmation on Fred Brown status.  Ask about devon peterson.  If Dalonte is there ask him why we aren't getting more DCA mentions.  Ask higher up old looking d00ds about the AD search and force them to name the favorite or at least who they would guess will get/take it.  Get specifics from same old d00ds about our financial situation.  They are more apt to give you the straight story as a youngster as opposed to Farmer Jeramiah who they will certainly give a sob story to in an attempt to get donations.  Oh, and have a blast.

don't waste your time with snyder.  very guarded and boring.  take a position at martin's elbow and don't move from that spot, that's where the action will be.

^^ this is the best advice.  snyder will just call you "youngster" a bunch while glad handing the rich oil money.  martin, i don't think he operates the same way.

Alright we are back.

Set directly in front of Frank made some good small talk. Asked how tall I was. What I play in basketball? How EMAW I am.

Loves the class. Thinks that everyone is going to qualify.

Snyder gets up there tells the story about the dude from Goodland that went to him and told him that the Copper Bowl is the best moment of his life. Heard the story a thousand times. It's even on the DOD DVD set.

There is more, just ask about something specific and I'll give you an answer.

-Best Ron Prince joke/comment you heard

-Kind of a followup:  Did Bill say anything derogatory about Prince or the team?

-As others have said, any and all details about hoops recruits, transfers and current players.

i asked about peterson. from what he said, it looks like that isn't going to materialize.

Martin doesn't like how the media paints the picture of him as a coach. Sutton and Pullen talked about how they had never seen buffaloes and steer before. It was kinda lame.

Curtis Kelly made the trip, he was easily the best and most entertaining of the three. When Frank was talking about how he gets the tag of being a crazy person and all of this Curt comes in and says the difference between Frank and other coaches is that other coaches don't care about you and Frank is like a father who wants you to get a job so he pushes you. Touching moment. I got choked up by all the EMAW being thrown around by Curt.

How old did Snyder look?  Was it like "omg, he looks disgustingly old."  or more like "hmm he actually looks kind of only a little old."   Just curious, haven't seen him up close in a long time.

Of the 14 coaches, 13 have played for or coached under Snyder during his 17-year coaching tenure.  The only exception is former Utah University coach Charles Dickey . . .  who Snyder points out has family living in Kansas.  “This was important to me,” he emphasizes.  “I want people who understand Kansas State.  This is a unique university and I think it’s important to have people who understand what its people are all about.”

snyder, with no ties to kansas state prior to taking the reigns in 1989, reinforces the "kansas state ties" myth.  does he really believe it or is he just telling the folks that like animal nuts what they want to hear?  wtf, others aren't smart enough to figure it out once they get to ksu like he did?

new ad will be chatting with him imo - not a great start to their relationship.  prolly be comparing those that like "animal nuts" in western kansas to some "deliverance" types without teeth in back woods tennessee that gave millions to ut (the other one, not our rival).
