According to today's NBA Insider.....
Forward Michael Beasley and point guard Mario Chalmers, who both received significant fines from the NBA before the start of the season, were continually fined by the Heat throughout the season for violations of team policy.
"Part of being an NBA basketball player is being accountable at all times," coach Erik Spoelstra said.
The number of fines not only caught the attention of Heat President Pat Riley, but had team staffers addressing the rookies during the season about the penalties that were subtracted from their paychecks.
Spoelstra said none of the fines was for missing practice or showing up late for such sessions, declining to go into detail about the volume or specifics.
"There's other things, dress code, things of that nature," Spoelstra said. -- South Florida Sun-Sentinel
B-Easy - More, Less or Same EMAW as before you heard this?

Much more. F^ck dress codes. He's Michael Beasley, he will dress however the f^ck he wants. Should have kicked Chalmers off the team though.

i wasn't supposed to say anything, but i suppose it's ok now, seems like the cats out of the bag in this respect.
beasley didn't just declare last year. he had no other options. martin gave him plenty of chances but finally had enough. it was either head for the pros or find another school, because he was not going to be allowed back on the team.
sounds like the miami coach is faced with a similar situ. this year.

So are you saying Anderson and Buchi have been "Beasley-ed"?
Say it isn't so.

I LOVE Beas, but I've always thought that if he wasn't a Cat he would be very easy to dislike/make fun of.

it's ridiculously hard to be a heat fan. why couldn't beasley play for the dallas cowboys or something

anderson yes.
awaji is a slightly different situ, because the staff is still giving him another chance. i specifically asked about him last night and was told that there is maybe a 20% chance that he'll be able to pull his act together and re-earn his spot on the roster. they aren't holding their breath, obviously, but the door IS still technically open.

WOW, Frank is more hardcore than I thought. I  him even more now than I have ever before!
-
just went home over lunch and took the lifesized beasley growth poster off the living room wall. also took the beasley bobblehead down from the dashboard of my car. what a disappointment. :frown:

What was the stuff at K-State that sent it over the edge? Was it just a bunch of little stuff, or something big that they kept under wraps?
