Bill has Lamark with the 2nd unit and Snipes with the 1st.  Would be interested to hear PW's thoughts on this.

Sounds like Klein can throw the ball around a bit.  Apparently stunner getting him that extra star is paying off.

Look for the punter #9 to be our MVP this season. Very impressive. Harold looked good. Klein was much worse than I was expecting. Pretty poor footwork from him. Coffman had plenty of time in the pocket--Our 1st string OL totally dominated the 2nd string DL...Really not a lot to be taken from this game.

I thought I heard some positives.

Although against the B unit Carson sounded good and Alex Hrebec had I think 10+ tackles so didn't sound bad.

The purple team I might add had to come back from 17 down. LOL

coffman didn't overthrow or underthrow a single pass, the guy is accurate as hell (not much pressure though).  i thought x played decent for the white team. I think there was only one run over 20 yards in the game and it was on a qb scramble- linebacker thought he only had to touch the qb for the ref to stop the play so he let him go- which was a suprise after last season

His net punting was helped a bit by the fact that everything was a fair catch.

Also anyone talking about how great Coffman looked is a moron.  With no blitzes or stunts, they SHOULD protect him against the second team.

Also, our receivers and backs suck.  God love Brandon Banks, but he is not a no. 1.  As for RB?  Keithen had the most juice out there.

Sickening.

Best part was the garage sale in Brandenbury.  Outlandishly amateur and hilarious.  I didn't get there to see the "good stuff" but I saw some of it walking around.  Want some kicker's shoulder pads?  SOLD.  Asbury era folding chairs?  SOLD.

The leftovers?  Travis Canby's practice jersey, the entire KSU VHS/DVD library, Wooldridge media guides, a Ron Anderson poster,  Matt Miller's long underwear, some Prince era desks and a file cabinet that did not have a top to it.

We are K-State.

Houlik looked in-shape.
Hrebek looked thick, but alot quicker.
played in a 4-2-5
Moore looked retarded in black long sleeves
Kedero Taylor blitz's well
tyson hartman caught a few punts
hartman also looking thicker and quicker
snipes had 2 fumbles
no depth at all
Coffman is accurate. More than we can say about Freeman in his spring games.
banks is 151 lbs.
purple d-line was huge. only unit that looked like they belong in XII
Jerrel Childs might be good. too hesitant but nice size/speed
Keithen is meh, but will have more success in this type of offense than the prince's.
The army has the worst jerseys I've ever seen. maroon and olive green? really?

Dudez, I got 3 player folding chairs.  Not really Asbury era.  They have the powercat that looks like a basketball on them.  One has authentic player gum!  All were signed by Cartier, Hoskins, Colon, Bennet, Patzwald Yearby, Cmerri, and Franklin.  Quite the nice item.  For $50 you could get the banner that depicts the basketball posters and football posters that are big enough to hang on the side of a building.  $1 DVD's of past games in football and basketball.  $1 posters from the Texas and ku games.  The Kat pak'r golf toppers were on sale for $10.  Even if you didn't find something you wanted, it was something to do before the game if you were bored.

Not our fault you got there late.

First Kedero Terrell wasn't blitzing he was playing stand-up defensive end and he played it very well taking on and sheding blocks from Tight Ends and tackles as well as double teams. A key stat to keep in mind is that Carson Coffman did not through an interception and played virtually a mistake free game. Things that scare me: I saw an 151 lb Wide Receiver run over our second team defensive backs two of them, Stewart & Calvin both played fantastic meaning our offensive line sucks. Overall, it was your prototypical spring game was disappointed I didn't see Braden Wilson in the fullback position more, lot of singleback used the TE well, busted coverage a lot, unfortunately the only position we have average depth at is quarterback, our defensive line will be our vocal point bu I couldn't measure how good they were because our OL is BAD!!!

Our #1 defensive line was going against our #2 offensive line, not really possible to eval the #1's against each other too much.

Purple starting OL was Stringer, Unruh, Weibert, Freeze, & Aufner. Who started for the white?  Where was Kendall & Viers?

At the garage sale, some minor analysis of the aforementioned Ron Anderson poster, and KK going through his favorite parts of a Wolly media guide - that he already has at home.

Saw some names in that second string secondary that I had never seen before.  Guess maybe that's why we signed 183 DBs this year. Hopefully some of the JUCO guys can come in and at least provide some reasonably decent depth back there.
