tomorrow night I will miss my first game (competitive, rec, pick up, etc) due to injury since I was 12 years old. I'm am truly depressed and for the first time feel old and incapable. Does anyone know what I can do to get through this? Something popped below my calf this afternoon playing ball after grabbing a rebound. I can walk on it but I can't flex/tighten my left calf like I can my right and it's painful to put pressure on it. So scared. So bummed. :suicideispainless:

I know exactly how you feel. After my unfortunate scooter wreck, I wasn't able to sit comfortably at a bar stool for nearly a month.

I did the same thing playing soccer a few years ago -- torn calf muscle. You'll be out several weeks and all you can do is rest, elevate and ice it.
I was back to normal activity afterwards, but now I sure as hell remember to warm up and stretch a bit more after feeling that muscle pop back there.
