just don't go to mexico right now. All I'm saying.
It probably isn't deadly if you have access to an emergency room and a good doctor...otherwise this thing is probably going to kill more people in impoverished areas.
This is serious.

If you get on quick onset of flu symptoms go to the doctor right away. The flu season should be ending right now so it should be unusual to get the flu. Kansas had a relatively dormant flu season this year. Last year was worse.
i may be dying of this. will update when i know for sure.
He didn't know.... They didn't even know that Dickinson County had anything like that. Two of the sherriffs were out sick, so there was some speculation that they were dying and spreading it to all illegal mexicans and inmates in Abilene.
yeah, the two cases in kansas were in dickinson county............where i live. i'm Fncked
update:
i'm still alive. may have been a false alarm.
oth, girlfriend has been bitching about a headache all day and just sneezed. also, the juice woman said there are now confirmed cases in town.
 What's a juice woman?
 What's a juice woman?
a woman that extracts juice from fruits (+ some vegetables) and then sells it.
town is atlacomulco.
So juice, vegetable blends like v8? Does she have pineapple juice? And if so is it good?
Does a flu shot do anything against this, or is it a mutation that it doesn't work on?
Update: Fox News just said they could have a vaccine by early May, but wont be available for 4-6 months as they have to test it and FDA approval and all that crap

Egypt, apparently concerned that pigs can fly, has mandated that all pigs in the country be slaughtered immediately. They must get their information about public health from reading twitter.

Swine flu claims another life, dannyboycanes.
LMAO at people being freaked out about this. If the media didn't attach the word swine to it everyone would still be concentrating on the Speidi wedding.
What worries the health people is that this type of flu can kill healthy adults, not just the very young or the very old.

I don't think that's accurate.

Although highly simplified, it's quite accurate.

No, it's what foxnews/msnbc is telling you. It's not accurate. Regular flu can kill healthy adults and this has shown nothing that would make it more or less dangerous once you have contracted it. Don't attach the word swine to it and Glen Beck is back to bitching about the negro in the white house.
It's not going to spread like everyone is freaking out about either:

if i infected someone and they died, would it count? would i have to prove that i did the infecting?
I'm more concerned about the strain going off the radar, mutating, and coming back a couple years from now much stronger. :ohno:

Obamas take a walk, holding hands in the evening
By CHRISTINE SIMMONS ? 3 hours ago
WASHINGTON (AP) ? The first couple took full advantage of the cool spring night.
After a date night out on Saturday evening, President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama decided to take a stroll when their motorcade arrived back at the White House.
So they began walking on the driveway of the White House South Lawn while holding hands. First they passed the West Wing, then their children's swing set. They kept walking, swinging their hands together.
There were no Secret Service agents right behind them ? the agents stood off, in one of the rare moments that the Obamas had private space outside the White House walls.
As the Obamas walked behind shrubbery and out of sight, the unscripted moment left reporters guessing where they were going. To the vegetable garden? The basketball court? No final word, but they eventually came back the same way from where they started, rounding out their 8-minute walk.

I thought this thread was about the media paying too much attention to something that isn't worth the attention. Pig flu, Speidi, and Obama's out walking all fall in that category.
There has been a small outbreak of “zombism” in London due to mutation of the H1N1 virus into new strain: H1Z1.(http://www.kcsr.org/vb/images/smilies/swine.gif) (http://www.kcsr.org/vb/images/smilies/swine.gif) (http://www.kcsr.org/vb/images/smilies/swine.gif) (http://www.kcsr.org/vb/images/smilies/swine.gif) (http://www.kcsr.org/vb/images/smilies/swine.gif) (http://www.kcsr.org/vb/images/smilies/swine.gif) (http://www.kcsr.org/vb/images/smilies/swine.gif) (http://www.kcsr.org/vb/images/smilies/swine.gif) (http://www.kcsr.org/vb/images/smilies/swine.gif) (http://www.kcsr.org/vb/images/smilies/swine.gif)
Similar to a scare originally found in Cambodia back in 2005, victims of a new strain of the swine flu virus H1N1 have been reported in London.
After death, this virus is able to restart the heart of it’s victim for up to two hours after the initial demise of the person where the individual behaves in extremely violent ways from what is believe to be a combination of brain damage and a chemical released into blood during “resurrection.”
The World Health Organization (WHO) has raised the alert to phase six, its highest level, and advised governments to activate pandemic contingency plans.
In Mexico, the epicentre of the outbreak, President Felipe Calderon urged people to stay at home over the next five days.

Most of those people are H1Z1 already.
After seeing this show on Nat Geo about the recent outbreak, I'm going to say the time for :ohno: isn't nearly over. And we really dodged a bullet with SARS.. had no idea how freaked out about that one we should have been. Best bet is to take your vitamin C and don't get old! :cyclist:
