"The man who once presided over some of the orneriest, nastiest defenses in the nation must now rebuild, from the wreckage, a unit that finished last season ranked 117th in total defense."

I like the way that was phrased. Bill is such a badass it's not even funny.

Snyder doesn't just script game days and practices. He scripts his staff meetings and insists his assistants script their position meetings. He famously wigged once, at a team meal, when his men were served pats of butter rather than more easily digested whipped butter. A former assistant of his once told me that, when the team buses were held up at a train crossing, Snyder was peeved that the coach in charge hadn't done his homework -- hadn't, you know, called the railroads ahead of time.

Sounds like a douche bag to me.

You, son, have not done your homework!  I think an instrinsic value lesson is in order.

That taught your coach everything he knows (with the exception of cheating and working with local law enforcment to get one of his players "unarrested" after they hit another player with a car).

There's a reason every assistant bailed at their first opportunity.

Concerning the Crawford comment... may I suggest that you figure out what the &@#% you're talking about before making idiotic statements?  Par for the course, I guess.   :flush:

Bail?  He turned assistant coaches into winning Div 1 Head Coaches. . .it's not like they quit to go work at the local Dairy Queen.

For the life of me I don't understand why Bob Stoops ever decided to move up in the coaching ranks.!!!

Very Low FBIQ displayed here.  Show a lil' respect for the man who hired the fat franking turd who runs your ship straight out of a toll booth (or shortly thereafter).  Sheesh.
