Sounds like a pretty cool idea to get the crowd PUMPED up!
-
Where men bring their motorcycles and ride around the edge of the stadium.
Sorta like when Husker fans ride their women around Memorial Stadium during cornhole day.
-
Man, that sounds like a great promotion to get fans to Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Does it have to be a Harley or are crotch rockets also welcome? Have you found that opponents are intimidated by the scary guys on the motorcycles?
-
Actually only been to one Harley Day ever.
But chicks come out of everywhere wanting a ride.
I suppose that counts for something. Would be hard to do in lincoln, unless you count pulling hair as coming out..
-
Harley Day is an embarrassment, that's what it is.

Harley Day is LOUD ! That's basically all it is. I'm not sure if I like it or not, I mean its cool but in years past I always wondered if it drained something out of the fans... Any thoughts?

It makes a lot of money so it won't go away. Ever.

I have an in-law that has ridden...I think you have to pay like $100 to ride, and there's a waiting list...they actually use donor priority to decide who gets to ride.
I don't know how many ride - maybe 100? So the AD gets $10000 not including people who are willing to donate extra to ride or sponsorship from HD of Salina.
-
So, what is Harley Day all about?
It's about Brook Berringer.
-
$100? Thats it? I thought it was more than that.

Could be. I wasn't sure...

At the catbacker event in Topeka a guy drove in from Hays to buy an auctioned off chance to ride in Harley Day. He payed $800 iirc.

Was it Berringer?
Oh wait, he's deceased.

That might be the most redneck sentence I've ever read.
