These are just current coaches right?

Why don't we ever see Iowa fans going around telling use that we're welcome for Bill? Just seems odd that we shove the "our coach coached your coach" thing into everyone's faces, but Iowa goes back another generation in this ladder of coach mentoring.
Just think what that will look like when our current young buck assistant coaches have a chance to grow under Snyds and spread their wings!
Iowa fans continuously remind any K-State person that Snyder came from there . . . hang out with one for about 2 minutes.

If that diagram proves anything it's that Hayden and Bill owe a lot of if not most of their success to their assistants, rather than some magical pixie dust that only they have. And when they didn't have those assistants, they sucked.

That's kinda like saying if they hadn't won so many games, they wouldn't be as famous. You really don't think that Snyder had anything to do with the future success of those coaches? Did they just ignore everything he said and learned how to be good coaches on their own? Dude had two bad seasons and now, all of a sudden, he isn't a good coach anymore?
taking credit for others work. :jerkoff:I think his 'you're welcome' was directed to all the other schools. Hater.

I think panjadrum made that.I don't believe so. Not a hater just don't think someone should act like they made something they didn't

don't be retarded. never said snyds wasn't a good coach...he had good assistants, I'm sure their goodness was influenced by snyds, but how much is overblown. it's like giving all the credit for beasley to frank martin. Those 2 bad seasons didn't just happen overnight. It was years of terrible recruiting by a core of Snyder's assistants (a staff, mind you, whose core is eerily similar to the guys snyds has now). where was bill's magic pixie dust then? or does it only work on the ones that turn out to be successful?

Those two bad years came on the heels of our only conference championship. We graduated numerous key dudes, and didn't have anyone really step up and fill those holes. Even traditionally rich programs go through down years, or even multiple down years in a row. You miss on key recruits, recruits you do sign end up busts, etc. These things happen. Were Penn State fans calling Joe Pa (the coach, not BMW's favorite sports writer) a bad coach after a few down years? How did that end up for them? And really, most of this isn't even about your post, I just get a little tired of it being the "cool thing" on this board to belittle the career that Snyder had. Sorry if I was an asshole.

that makes those 2 years worse, btw. it also came on the heels of winning 11 games 6 of 7 years. snyder did great things, he did terrible things.... you aren't a terrible ksu fan if you recognize both.
