Title: Met this kids grandmother at the carwash yesterday . . .
Post by: sonofdaxjones on April 19, 2009, 09:39:24 AM
she noticed my very EMAW powercat tag.   Very nice lady, she and her husband had retired here from living in KCMO for 35 years.   Sad thing is, K-State (and not so sad ku) missed out on a legacy.   Her grandson is a back from Flower Mound, TX- Stephen Hopkins . . . listed by rivals as a Solid Verbal to Michigan, had offers from K-State (Dad went there) and from ku (mom went there).   Also offers from Stanford, A&M and SMU, I tried to work a little EMAW voodoo but she said he was solid on Michigan.

Reminds me of this one time when I sat next to the dad of North Texas' basketball coach on a plane flight from Houston to KC.  Dude had some pretty cool stories.  Heck, it might have even been Jank's dad.

See Dax, there in lies the rub - if you were 100% EMAW, you wouldn't have thought twice about it... you would've dove in head first thinking only about Alma Mater and not youself. *sigh*
