He was a highly recruited H.S. QB so we'll see what happens. Here's what I don't get though:

Isn't he already in college at Duke? He'll have to transfer but then won't he have to sit out a year or is it different because he wants to play a different sport?

He's a senior, but has never red-shirted so he has one year of eligibility to play another sport.  And because he will graduate in May, he will not have to sit out for a year after transferring, if granted a waiver.
