Title: Favorite thing about Easter?
Post by: I_have_purplewood on April 07, 2009, 08:32:25 PM
Well, besides Jesus rising from the dead of course.  Mine is just the plain old jelly bean. :lick: (ftp://:lick:)  Not the chocolate bunny, marshmellow chick :yuck: (ftp://:yuck:)or hard boiled egg.  I just like the classic jelly bean.  Not any of those ridiculous rip offs either.

Thank you Brachs's and thank you Jesus. :whistle1: (ftp://:whistle1:)

btw, could someone work up a Jesus emoticon?  Could come in handy.

when i was young i was scared crapless of the easter bunny. i mean abosolutely terrified. the thought of a 6 foot bunny hopping into my room and leaving candy on my dresser didnt sit well.

That's just spooky.  I wanted to put Chingon's Jesus emoticon with this just to exorcise this thread.  On a different note, does anyone else think the kid in this picture looks British?  Would be just about the Brit's kind of humor too.  Anyone?

Thanks Chingon for the emoticon.

Yeah, I like Reese's peanut butter cups as much as the next really good looking guy but shaping them like an egg doesn't elevate them any higher.  This is an original easter stuff thread.  Not a "candy maker looks to cash in on people simple enough to buy more candy if it is shaped like santa/egg/tree/star of david" thread.

Reese's eggs are good, but I prefer the Snickers eggs myself. I like how all the easter specialty candies and chocolates are just different shapes and colors of normal candies and chocolates.

I like peeps and I used to like Cadbury's eggs back when they were actually gooey inside (like 20 years ago, youngsters.)

But everyone in my family makes a big deal about this thing, even though I don't take a really big interest in celebrating the Zombie Jesus.  I think Mardis Gras is a lot more fun.

Theory on why the Reese's Egg kicks the ever-loving shlt out of regular Reese's Cups?  I think it's because of the higher pb to choc. ratio.

favorite part:  looking and laughing at all the jackasses in plaid.

worst part: that he rose.  think about all the people that wouldn't have died if he would have stayed dead.

Peeps used to be the best thing about Easter, until they started making them year round and diluted their quality.

And if you wait another month, go buy stuff at the Russell Stover outlet shop.  Easter items are mere pennies.  Right now they are selling large valentine hearts for a buck.

No, I'll be getting fracked up on Sunday too.  You see, it's my birthday.  Now before you go thinking this is the obligatory cry for a birthday wish, that's just not the case.  In fact, if your thinking of giving me some birthday adulations, why don't you just give a shout out to JC (Jesus Christ) instead.  But back to getting fracked up.  I plan on getting an extra swig of sacremental wine on Sunday.  I've already notified Father Swanson that it's my b-day and know he'll take care of me.  Then, it's mike's hard lemonade, jelly beans, and the Masters the rest of the day.  Don't think you could ask for a better b-day.  Unless of course JC (Jesus Christ) would give me the ablility to levitate some.  Don't think it's much to ask since it's my b-day? :whistle1: (ftp://:whistle1:)

Also, Marshmallow Peeps are horrible.
