Is there any doubt we lose if Dylan Meier is our QB vs. Okie State?

Absolutely not!  Which is why his name should never be spoken again on this board in regard to football.

DM could've turned around and handed the ball off for 3 1/2 quarters, but I don't think he makes those throws in the end, nor do I think he tucks it and runs for a 20+ yd TD run.  I wonder why we all of a sudden committed to running the ball.  Actually I know why (i.e. take the pressure off a young QB, etc.) but I can't for the life of me figure out why we hadn't been actually making an effort to run the ball in previous games, even against "inferior" opponents.  Is OSU's defense that bad?

We got to ease up on DM. Fact of the matter is he is our legit #2 right now and one solid hit from going into the game.  AW, AE and other are gone. Coffman can't play right now and I do not foresee him as a legitamate backup until next year.

The committment to the run might have something to do with the fact that we've found a running back (Patton) that can actually run the ball as opposed to one that likes to flex his muscles like Popeye.

Also may be because Prince was supposedly calling the plays last week and Franklin was in the box.

considering freeman didn't turn the ball over, there isn't any way dylan could have added anything.  maybe a sack or two less, but enough plays were made to easily offset that.  dylan did do well holding on kicks though.

As I watched the highlights last night of all the plays that stood out to me it was that little screen that we ran to Patton out of the back field.  Freeman was running to his right and he hit Patton coming out of the backfield.  I kept thinking to myself... "If Meier's playing he throws that ball into the ground at Patton's feet."  Thank God I did not have to watch that scenario play out once again!

Nope, no doubt at all that we lose to OSU if Meier had been the QB.
