Title: Big 12 only stats
Post by: fatty fat fat on October 08, 2006, 02:00:31 PM
Quite a few encouraging ones. We have played an easy schedule so far.

seems flawed. We've kicked two onside kicks (opposed to 0) and we've ran back to kickoffs for td's correct?

I would debate that.  While I'm not saying it's like opening w/ OU and Texas I think both are better than people give credit.....maybe only one side of the ball.

Baylor is good on defense and on offense they just do enough.  Their secondary is tough.  They are not the Baylor of the past.

OSU's offense is very good.  They gashed teams with the running game last year but couldn't throw the ball.  This year they can and add Reid's running dimension.  That OSU offenses is loaded...about as talented as we will see this year and that includes both Texas and Louisville.  It's just that their defense is below average...particularly their defensive line.

btw hat, mizzou is #2 in scoring O and scoring D.

Those >>>> than total O and D.*

*See 2004 KSU defense. Last in scoring Defense...middle of pack in total D. Which was more accurate?

INT returns for td's are included in scoring offense.  FWIW

Sure, but when you get a pair of pick 6's....you don't need to gain yards. Thus the low total offense.

Hmmm...

11.Missouri............  2   233  426   139   659   4.7  7 329.5

That isn't very good, I'll concede.

And neither is this.

10.Missouri............  2   261  568  140   829  5.9   4 414.5

I just get flashback to the 2004 offseason where everyone was claiming our defense would be fine because we gave up points off of TO's.

5.9 YPP on D bad.

Only 2 teams in 2005 gave up >5.5 in conference games.

Rusty, agreed. It's just hard to bag on a team that beat TTU in Lubbock pretty easily.

Even though tcu* held Tech to 3 points.
