Headed into tournament play they are the consensus number 1.
Let's go Terriers!

Crappy, hapless school with no history that happens to have the name of the city in its school name.
Get back to discussing Men's Hockey Sister school. I think the goalie of the Terriers will be the key to skating through the Frozen 4.

lol. wow dude, you could have at least wiki'd that crap before you posted it. Ready to get pnwed?
So here's the breakdown:
First fielded at the Division I level in 1949, the University of Denver's men's ice hockey program has become synonymous with college hockey excellence. Tied with the University of North Dakota for second all-time with seven national championships, the Pioneers have also won nine MacNaughton Cups for winning the WCHA regular-season championship and 14 Broadmoor Cups in recognition of winning the WCHA playoffs. They're currently headed by The Gwoz (George Gwozdecky) who is a two-time national coach of the year and is the only person to win national titles as a player, asst. coach and head coach. Now playing in beautiful Magness Arena which is regularly sold out, the DU pioneers are a staple of college hockey's top ten rankings, even in the powerful WCHA.

I guess if we are counting crap that happened back in the 50's we should include Michigan Tech. Denver is alright.
Had nice back to back in 04-05 but still not a sister school.

maybe not a sister school but I'm not sure how BU got picked. I denounce Boston U. as a sister hockey college and reinstate them as a 'school who generally gets shafted as bad as KSU does'. :bootyshake:

I am sorry dude, you can't argue with a century of sister school relationships. I don't want to trash du as a totally crappy school that only has a hockey program, but I will if forced to. So let's just get behind the Terriers and maybe someday you can have a sister school of your choosing. Being second just means you were the first loser and no one wants that. In the future, good luck being quicker to recongize sister school relationships. :beerchug:

And I suppose you will now say Duke isn't basketball sister school and UF isn't football sister school.
Your claim is like a French tourist getting off his plane in La Guardia and claiming he has just "discovered" America. It's long since over. I am sorry but we don't accept day late and dollar short sister school relationships.
Try volleyball or maybe golf.

Holy crap, a college hockey thread? Now I've seen it all on this site. I went to the WCHA tourny last weekend, had a blast. I love hockey and I love college hockey. Went to the Frozen Four the last two years. Great games.
Now, what's this sister school business?

Boston University is our Men's hockey sister school. Get behind the #1 Terrier's run to the FF.
Let me know if you have any Terrier related questions.
Until then, see you at Agganis! We meet at T's Pub before every game if you want to grab a few Tremonts with us. :fatty:
:kstatriot: <--------- But with Rhett on it.

Limestone insists on making up johnny-come-lately sister schools, who I might add SUCK. Duke, Florida... Both sister schools. DU? Potentially, it's a wait-and-see kind of thing. Boston? BOSTON? Puleez. :jerkoff:
And yeah, college hockey is BA. :beerchug:

Here is a rousing tune you can fire up for sister school's first round game against Ohio State on Saturday.
Fight song: "Go B.U."
Go BU, Go BU!
Sing her praises loud and true!
We'll fight for our alma mater,
On to sure victory!!
Fight! Fight! Fight!
Go BU, Go BU!
Down the ice to score anew!
Our hearts are with you as you meet the foe.
We hail you, Ole BU!

Sister school advances with a convincing 8-3 win over Ohio State.
Play New Hampshipire (team they beat 3 times this year) for a trip to the Frozen 4.
Both Denver and UND were eliminated in their first game.
GO Terriers!!!!
:kstatriot: <------------ With BU on it.

Q: Hello - If Boston University resurrected its football team, which was sadly dropped in 1996, would it have a chance against Kansas State at legendary Nickerson Field?
Answered 03/20/09 20:04:11 by Jeffrey Martin
A: Yes.

Sister school won a tight one today to advance to the Frozen 4. Please join me in congratulating this awesome effort by our sister school.

Big game tommorrow night. Word from Agganis way is the boys are extremely hungry and have been getting lots of emails/twitters from KSU fans who are pulling for them and they won't let us down. That is what sister school love is all about.

Skating for a National Championship tonight against Miami (Ohio). Let's bring it home WildTerriers.
Big 'paker for the game getting revved up already. Lots of EMAW going down.

Those of us with high sister school fandom.

Unbelievably lucky, as in '98 aTm kind of lucky. Nobody get the puck clear of the zone in 50 freakin seconds? How did that dying quail make it in the net? Wow, luuuuuucky. Great game though, so congrats to our hockey sister school!

Feels good to have Sister School titles in 2 sports.

Parade to honor the national champs tomorrow. Starts at Kenmore Square and winds down Commonwealth Ave, up Agganis and ends at WBA.
I know this is a lot in a post but National Championships don't grow on trees.
