I was hoping for DC.  Though having DFW should make our FB recruiting less expensive: instead of having some TX kid fly into KC and then take a shuttle from KC to Manhattan and then not commit, we can just fly'em right into Manhattan and get them right out after they say "hell no OB".  I'm assuming there are flights from DC to DFW?  Would make 'Te's life a lot easier, which is all I really care about.

that's the beauty of the whole thing. there will be flights from dallas to everywhere on american and it's not like we recruit up north so dallas is already the logical stop for everyone we're recruiting regardless of the sport.

plus i can fly out of manhattan now to the caribbean for only 25,000 aa miles. this is probably a top twenty day for me lifewise. just emailed buddy who works for american asking if he knows any info on pricing, etc. he helps set pricing for their asian flights though so who knows. big emawer though, big.

 :curse:

offpeak to the carib goes til mid november. nightly stays in negril practically double in price starting early dec so it actually works out really well regardless. don't really want to go during peak season (higher price hotels, loser touristy types from nebraska getting in the way, etc. ) I guess if i do decide to go in peak... it's only 10,000 more aa miles which is basically chump change to me right now anyway so whatev.

I kinda like being taller than everyone else at my school except the basketball and football team.

But yeah this is good cause if I go to KSU for grad school I won't have to drive all the way over to KCI to catch a flight back to DFW to connect to Austin or San Antonio.

'Te has flown Midwest Airlines direct from KCI to Reagan National in the past.  Very comfortable seats on those flights for the top recruiter in the country.

I fly fairly often on all the major airlines and I find it depends more on the carrier and route than the actual aircraft when it comes to  the amount of legroom you have in coach. The tightest fitting seat with the least amount of legroom I have ever experienced was on a Delta 767 from ATL to CDG. My knees rubbed against the seat in front of me for nearly 7 hours and was pure hell. Makes a flight on a ERJ or CRJ seem roomy, and no middle seat is always a plus.

Guys-

just think how easy it will be to go to that puerto rico bball tourney next year if the khatx are in it and you happen to live in mhk.

apply for two credit cards to get the necessary mileage needed, book flight from mhk to sju, sleep in a little later than usual on day of flight, have some breakfast, get in car and take five minute drive to airport, board plane, change planes in dallas, watch the kahtzz dominate for a few days and then come home.

It really is a pretty sweet airport, I love their train system (unlike the one in Detroit which is all  ). Only drawback is like there's a hidden bylaw in the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport Constitution that you have to wait on the runway for a period equal to or greater than half of your time in the air.

dfw is basically a whole town in and of itself. however, if you fly into terminal a, b, or c...you're getting cheated. d is where it is at. can't imagine a better airport/part of an airport in the world.

I have an ex-uncle who was head of aviation maintenance for United at LAX. dood, ended up being a total jerk/douche. I think he still does something in aviation, don't know what though, but United is a much better company without him. dood, had absolutley zero emaw, perhaps even a negative emaw rating.
