lots of MCI/KCI jokes between the airline elites. my fav so far, "what do you get when you mix a monkey and an airport? KCI."
pretty fun times. :ksu:

AA Mile redemption 8-)
So does this mean that we can now have Texas 'cruits fly directly into 'hattan
I'm assuming there are flights from DC to DFW? Would make 'Te's life a lot easier, which is all I really care about.
plus i can fly out of manhattan now to the caribbean for only 25,000 aa miles

yeah, offpeak
what type of birds will be in and outta 'hattan? ERJ-145's? F^3 or anybody else know?
American Eagle Jets? Sh*t, I'm 6'4" and I pretty much lose any blood in my legs when I fly on those goddamn regional jets. You're gonna let a 6'6" football stud or a 7'0" basketball recruit get crammed in there like that? Doesn't sound very EMAW to me :kstatriot:

If it does well, this is a market that could probably welcome a flight to O'Hare.

Guys-
just think how easy it will be to go to that puerto rico bball tourney next year if the khatx are in it and you happen to live in mhk.
apply for two credit cards to get the necessary mileage needed, book flight from mhk to sju, sleep in a little later than usual on day of flight, have some breakfast, get in car and take five minute drive to airport, board plane, change planes in dallas, watch the kahtzz dominate for a few days and then come home.

rumblings from topeka
Sebelius planning on using KS stimulant money to build high speed train between downtown manhattan and MHK.
"I can leave or go to Dallas in a heartbeat," he said. "That helps a lot. Players will realize no matter where you live, you're probably only one flight away from getting home. Direct flights will make things even better for Kansas State."

i wonder when you'll be able to buy tix. can't make the 1st flight, but i could (maybe) buy the 1st ticket.

It really is a pretty sweet airport, I love their train system (unlike the one in Detroit which is all  ). Only drawback is like there's a hidden bylaw in the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport Constitution that you have to wait on the runway for a period equal to or greater than half of your time in the air.
dfw is basically a whole town in and of itself. however, if you fly into terminal a, b, or c...you're getting cheated. d is where it is at. can't imagine a better airport/part of an airport in the world.

It's got a Lone Star Emporium, Western Gifts store so it can't be a complete dump.
tried to buy a mhk-dfw ticket. couldn't.
:frown:
hmmm. i think i remember reading/hearing something that the mhk deal, that they announced w/ a few other towns, was the only one that hadn't been actually signed yet. dunno though. how'd you try to buy a ticket? did they tell you when you might be able to buy one?

disgusting. airplane time is meant to be airplane time.
only two inflight entertainment are acceptable
1)trivia (delta)
2)plane tracker (frontier/delta)
Thought I read somewhere that the flights wouldn't begin until the middle of August.
Had direct TV on United the other day. Had about 30 stations iirc. Got it free because our flight was delayed. One of the channels was the flight tracker though.
