Title: Heading to New Zealand
Post by: ERA7777 on March 20, 2009, 10:39:39 AM
For my sister's wedding in a few weeks.  Figured I'd check out the shire and a couple other things.  Anything else to do in Middle Earth?  Anyone been there before?

I think they have Great White sharks there.  If so, don't swim because they eat a pretty good percentage of swimmers in areas they infest.

When we go to Hawaii my sisters are going to bombard me with insults, like "chicken" and "scardey cat" because I will not go into the ocean. Why you ask? Well, it's because I'm f*cking terrified of sharks. So while the may taunt, I will just say to them "Why don't you ask the Brody family from Amity Island what they think about sharks?"

Plus, you can get up in their faces and LOL when they get eaten by a Tiger Shark (< most dangerous shark in HI).  bonus points for the good shark history mention as well cas.

They live in Wellington, so that's where we will be most of the time.  Be there for a week.

should be enough stuff to do there. it's the capital and is suppose to be pretty cultured iirc- nightlife, music, arts, etc. enjoy, take pictures, report back. how'd your sister and her fiance end up there. what do they do?

I have a good buddy from new zealand.   Be sure and refer to them as australians every chance you get and use rugby terms like "scrum" when you describe american football.

I've always wanted to go down there though, so take lots of pics.

Last time I went to Fl - Cocoa Beach, I went out about 50 yds and got bumped by "something" hard enough to move me. I went back to the beach.
