Title: 2010
Post by: jscatfan on March 16, 2009, 03:39:43 PM
The state of kansas has some good talent and at least 3 potential 5 stars and one potential top 10 player in Justin Mccay, we need to get at least one of these to ksu

McCay is high on kstate right now, ive even been told that we are his favorite at this moment.  There is probably no chance with bell, but he isnt going to NU, and the other is Randle, a running back from wichita, a 4 star right now that is high on kstate

I'm sure they'll be excellent representatives for the State of Kansas....in a state other than Kansas.

Hey Nubb fan, the adults are trying to talk about football right now.  Head back over to your little high school stadium and leave the recruiting talk to the big boys.

Well this Nub fan is misinformed, McCay wants to stay close to home as his father isnt doing so well health wise...from what I heard kstate is his favorite, but hs is keeping it local as far as schools are concerned and by local I mean MU, ku, and KSU

Agreed.  The idea that Snyder ever signed a good Kansas player that someone good out of state wanted is a hilarious myth.

Tell me more about your little sister and gymnastics.  Perhaps some photos are in order?

Newman wasn't offered by any good out-of-state schools. He was committed to ku before switching to K-State last-second, iirc, and was viewed as a "project."

Again not a highly touted recruit a three star which isn't bad he was told by many schools he was to small to play ball.

Simoneau, Ochs, Beisel?

Of those three, I'd say only Beisel may have had significant interest from an out of state school of similar caliber to KSU at the time... :users:

Beisel did in fact receive interest from all the major programs.  Not sure about Simoneau, but he was a high school AA, so I assume he received significant recruiting interest.  (Can't really find much recruiting info from back then.)  Hell, I've seen dudes like Tyrone Brown and Tyrone Phillips receive numerous letters and calls every day from the biggest names in the business.  And neither of them was anywhere near AA level.
