Title: March 1 bubble watch
Post by: scottwildcat on March 01, 2009, 06:46:40 PM
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bubblewatch?id=89

The Wildcats won what was probably a bubble elimination game Saturday, beating Nebraska 77-72 in Manhattan. Kansas State improved to 8-6 in Big 12 play, with games left at Oklahoma State on Tuesday and home against Colorado on Saturday. Kansas State might need a 10-6 finish in league play to have a chance because of its mediocre computer profile and weak nonconference schedule (ranked No. 310 nationally). Kansas State has three quality Big 12 victories (Missouri at home and Texas A&M and Texas on the road), but its best nonconference victory came against RPI No. 75 Cleveland State. The Wildcats are 3-4 against RPI top-50 foes and 5-7 against the top 100.

we must have the only fan base in the world who had "fans" openly cheer against the football team which was one game away from a bowl and now have "fans" who
can't wait until we lose
during the final stretch in basketball while we are on the bubble

No crap.  This website is like the &@#%ing toilet for the lowest of the low.  Total human garbage here.  Real losers.  The donor level on this board has to be zero if not negative.  No skin in the game is the only way to describe the complete lack of class over here.  You people are NOT KSU.  You aren't even anything close.  Please stop using my beloved University as a reason to congregate.

+1 for the reason this site is a joke, and why TP will NEVER be able to make it profitable via "premium".

what pisses me off more than anything is the non con sos.   I wonder how much it would change if Oregon was a 20 win team this year.

Whats gonna be different from the OSU game and the Mizzou game? I believed we had a real shot at Mizzou, I knew it would be tough, but I believed it would be close.  Apparently, the team thought they'd be in with a Mizzou win as well.  So what explains the horrendous showing?  I want the NCAA as bad as anyone, but I am tempering my excitement level until they win at OSU.  Why get all pumped up now and then have to break something Tuesday night if they lose?

I am though excited to be in the discussion for the NCAA instead of hoping to win out and have a chance at the NIT.

Some hope...

OSU doesn't play near the defense that Missouri does.  MU forces more TOs than almost any people in the country, OSU is average.  MU is a solid offensive rebounding team; while OSU isn't in the NU/ISU/Tech category, they are still an aweful offensive rebounding team ranking at #305 in the country.  Also, OSU has already lost games at home, although those were to OU and MU.  I do think it will be a difficult win for us, but I doubt OSU is able to run away with the game like MU did in Columbia.

http://kenpom.com/team.php?y=2009&team=Oklahoma%20St.

scary offense.  anderson's stats to reputation ratio is ridiculous.

keys are:  make them shoot 2s, don't foul (so basically when eaton goes inside, force him to put up a shot, not pass out to an open 3 or put him on the line), 10+ rebound margin.
