Of course, it always helps when you can grind up against NU ball handlers like you’re at a Kanye West concert and not get called for a foul, but that’s a different story.

Quote
it got the crowd into the game and allowed Darren Kent to become like Mario in Super Mario Bros. when he gets the star and can run through anything and everything without harm.

Quote
although again, NU must have felt like it was at a dance club with all the men it had bumping and grinding against itself.

Quote
Nothing bad to say about Doc tonight, and it’s extremely encouraging that NU can go on the road and compete three out of four nights. That’s a stark contrast to just a few years ago.

Quote
You hate saying this because of how much you love this team, but Nebraska is just lacking two to three more athletes with size.

Once it gets that, which could be as soon as next year, games like this will start going the Huskers’ way.

These two are particularly outstanding. Said them myself several times pre-hugs. Especially love the "compete" moral victory stance coupled with the "next year" hope.

He's got a point, though, Rex...I mean, there are literally hundreds of "athletes with size" out there just waiting for the opportunity to come play Nebrasketball for Clint Howard. Just 3 or 4 of them away from total domination.

Would you rather have Doc buy his way into the tournament like Ksucks? I'm sure we could go hire some AAU coach with connections for $425,000, and by some miracle all the top recruits come to a town with little basketball tradition in recent years.  If there aren't recruiting violations in that then I must be living in OU's world.  If the NCAA would man up, and start penalizing these teams for hiring AAU coaches, then this game would be a lot cleaner.  Right now, you are basically paying for recruits.  I don't know what Hill does at KSU, but he's not a head coach, which should mean he should not be getting paid more than MOST Big XII coaches.

I'm just as frustrated as the next fan, but I'm really trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  We are sooo close to being an NCAA tournament team fielding the SMALLEST team in Division I, and to top that off, your tallest player has bum knees.  Man, what I wouldn't do to have Maric back this year.  This team might have WON the Big XII with Maric this year.  Heck, we are within a few breaks of being in 3rd place in the league anyway.

If we can just win Wed. night, we have a chance to win next Saturday against Baylor to finish 8-8.  Don't give up yet Motley, it's gotta get better.

Those types of quotes should be the definition of SLTH coaches.

"Look at how we're competing.  We're so close!"

No, you're not.  The closer you get to that proverbial SLTH ceiling, the farther away it actually gets.

can't stay mad at doc.  no one can.

When it was over, Martin and Nebraska's Doc Sadler exchanged a knowing chuckle, which became a handshake, which became a full-fledged embrace.

what an arrogant POS

that handshake was ridic fake.

Quote
Sadler feels he’s improving as an offensive coach. As for coaching defense, “Don’t take this wrong, but I don’t think there’s anybody who can coach defense better than me, because I can get our guys to play hard at a (high) level over an extended period of time. I know how to do that.”

he said not to take it wrong, and then you took it wrong.

fff = uncoachable.

that is so freaking LOL, I wonder which break this dip$h!t was talking about... when they lost to ISU by 12, OU by 11, wait - wait dont tell me... it was in that squeeker vs MU by 23. Yeah, there are 3 or so games that might have gone the other way, but they didn't and with a 6-8 conf record - NUBB would need to have a few more than 3 break their way!

In all honesty, I am kinda revelling in this... I personally welcome all NUBB fans to the world known as KSU sports for the last couple of years, take a load off and stay a while!!!

Good to know Nebraska fans think AAU coaches should never be eligible for college jobs.

Aggieville looks like some kid's project he had to do for a Regional Development class (Wierd setup)

I'm not really sure what that means.  How can six straight parallel and perpendicular streets be a "weird setup?"

Pretty polite people...

Clearly he sat nowhere near Section 17.

Much smaller in person than it looks on TV...

That's what she said.

Scary how bad they live off of last year's ku game (Nearly all highlights in the pregame vid were of that)

NU rushed the court against us last year.

Quote
....Student section was OK at best. More than us but lots of red leaked in there....Them doing the Wabash Cannonball thing where they thrust their body back and forth is WEAK (And they do that a lot)...Way too many cheers and fight songs that require a long continuous amount of clapping...

He's clearly jealous of our incredible student section, and the fact that in Nebraska it's completely unacceptable to hump the air in public.

Quote
Loved the negativity flowing through there with the many boo's and everything else...

Great work Cat fans!

Postgame parking lot is a diaster...

Was really bad last night because of a car accident FWIW.  Usually only takes like 5 minutes.

"I knew this was going to be one of those knock'em dead, let's see who gets dragged out of the bar kind of fight," the Kansas State coach said. "That's who he (Doc Sadler, NU coach) is, and that's who I am, and that's who our teams are."

there were a couple of old nu fans sitting in my section of old ksu fans.  1st half they competed with loud, no-look, sarcastic comments about each other's team.  2nd half they got into fball comments too.  i thought some shirts might come off towards the end of the game.

also had a great kstatriot sitting behind me that moaned "get it inside", "kent's open!", "come'on jake, work it in to darren", "let's go katz, get the ball inside now" or some variation thereof on every single possession of the game.

Ah.  I sat with my parents for a non-con game and there's a lady behind them that continually shouts similar advice to our team.  "Make a basket!," "Pass it!" etc.

clearly this Nubb fan has never been to a nu even with their band.  I dont think they stop the beat for their "go big red" chant.
