Back when he gave a Landon Lecture a few years ago you could tell the mind was as sharp as always, but the body was failing him. His speech was delivered with speed and clarity, but when it came time to answering audience questions, his voice would waver and he couldn't complete more than a few words at a time without pausing. It was as if his mind knew where it wanted to go, but his voice wouldn't let him
Grew up listening to him. He will be missed.
