Title: Hinrich's Jersey To Be Retired Tomorrow
Post by: pissclams on February 28, 2009, 02:26:59 PM
Just imagine if he was black  :blank:  Kirk who?
Thank goodness for John Wall's sake that he saw the writing on the wall.  Almost impossible to believe how well they treat their vanilla warriors over in Lawrence.

Hinrich played for two Final Four teams and also played for Team USA.  Why should ku leave it up to the national media to decide who our legends are?  You're telling me if Dejuan Blair gets snubbed for 1st-team All-American for some douche like Hansborough, that Blair's jersey shouldn't be retired by Pitt?  Please.

Bullsh*t.  Hinrich deserves to be hanging in the rafters just as much as Jacque Vaughn.  The guy was a great player for ku.  One of the best of all-time, but I wouldn't expect you K-State douchebags to admit that.

Again, for the delusional, the national media shouldn't decide who belongs in ku's rafters.  We'll make that decision.  Hinrich was a 2nd-team All-American, led ku to 2 Final Fours, and played for Team USA.  He's still making millions for the Chicago Bulls.  If Jacque Vaughn had his jersey retired, Hinrich deserves to as well.

Who said anything about the national media?  And...anyone who thinks Jacque Vaughn deserves to have his jersey retired needs to have his/her head examined.

Has anyone else seen the Civil Rights era city buses in Lawrence?  Just a coincidence?  LOL...right.  They're trying to hang on to "the good old days" over in Larryville.

The bigotry is disgusting.

At the University of Kansas, Chamberlain continued his brilliant play on the basketball court, scoring fifty-two points in his first varsity game. During his first varsity season he led the Jayhawks to the finals of the National Collegiate Athletic Association tournament, but they lost to North Carolina in double overtime. During his college career he averaged over thirty points per game and was twice selected to All-American teams. Following his junior year, he decided to quit college and become a professional because, he said, "The game I was forced to play at [Kansas] wasn't basketball. It was hurting my chances of ever developing into a successful professional player."
