Title: Seriously...
Post by: ksu_FAN on February 17, 2006, 02:47:57 PM
What is Drew selling down in Waco?  I can understand getting a few good kids, and I'm not saying he's cheating, but how is he getting these kids?

He's selling to parents, not kids.

It seems to be working.

He's doing something impressive down there.  This kid isn't even from Texas.

Everyone knows recruiting rankings don't mean crap.  Someone out there is proof positive.

I'm not sure who that someone is, but someone is proof.

Oh yeah, it was those guys and Jordy Nelson that are the proof I was looking for.

Thanks!

This makes me think of reading hoopscoop Wooly's first couple of years, and especially after the "#1" recruiting class...

"The Wildcats picked up __________ and _____________ surprising everyone and it should be just a matter of time before they are making a run into the upper half of the Big 12 Conference."

(sigh)

i know the entire world is in love with homer, bryce, scott and eany other drew that might exist.  but where there's smoke there is fire.  twice in the last twenty years baylor started to recruit quality players, build a program.... only to have the entire thing fall apart after it was revealed that they were paying players.  i think they're going for 3.

hard to believe that diene and kone (for example) were sold on a nice baptist education.
