or at least the admin is trying to get him back, but he doesn't want to return. Is this a good move from a money standpoint or a bad move from an administration standpoint.
And since all KSUFANS posters are big donors, remember your opinion counts.
-
who the hell wants him back? the new pres? JFC, if the new pres wants Tim back, f*ck me, it's time to start looking for a new school to cheer for (probably whichever one Frank goes to once some jackass AD comes in and wants to do things "right"). Let's not forget, if it wasn't for Eddie Fogler, KSU probably gets ISU or Wichita State's coach.

lollers if that happens

How much can we pay him to NOT come back? No way in hell does this happen.
-
Well, as long as we're paying him millions of dollars........why not? :dunno:
-
You can shoot me if you want. But I actually like Timothy....
-

this would be the only plausible explanation. of course, I'm sure he'd put the expansion on hold for another decade or so to "get it right".
-
I'm not convinced he was ever really allowed to do his job. Weefer made all the big boy decisions.
But like Rusty said. If we're paying him anyways..
I wonder if Dax would be disassociated again?

Meh. He hired Huggs. Just make sure to rewrite the contract.
-
Can't imagine Snyder would allow this if the stories of TW not allowing him to have his job back after the 3 day retirement are true. Bring back Timmy, Bill immediately quits and DD takes over as head coach, best of all worlds. :billypopcorn:

forgot about this. Would be awesome if TW just fired Snyder the second he's hired. Like at his introductory press conference.

He hired Ron too.
He wasn't even going to hire Huggs (or even consider him) until Eddie said something. The fact that Huggs wasn't first on his list to begin with and he had to be convinced of it by someone, pretty much tells/told me all I needed to know about that jackass.

think he can blame wef. for Prince.
And it's hard to criticize him for trusting the advice of someone smarter than him to help him make a better decision.
-
^Plus, I'm sure he's used his time away to "reflect", and will come back rejuvenated and aware of what went wrong last time.

this is true. Weiser could calm the AD waters and bring the K-State family back togerther. Snyd's doing that with football and making good, different, and unique decisions so that history doesn't repeat itself.

I totally agree. I'm not sure we ever saw Tim Weiser as an AD. I think we saw Wefald micro-manage, especially after Snyder retired. I'd like to see him come back!
EMAW! :kstatriot:

lols if he did fire Snyder. Should say, "He just ran out of time :dunno: "
-
LOL . . . this is funny stuff.

Excuse me for my ignorance but who is Eddie Fogler, a big donor?
-
Tim Weiser, do. not. want.

Um, because he sucks - I dont give a rat's ass the who, what, when or why... he was directly involved in the trainwreck known as the Ron Price experiment. If he didn't have control and Weefer ruled with his wrinkled iron fist, he should have left when $h!tbagronprince was hired.
-
Wasn't it KK that said that Weiser wanted Wooldridge gone a year before and was ready to hire Bruce Pearl?
He said TW was friends with Pearl.

That was the rumor.
All things considered, that probably would have turned out alright.
I wouldn't blame Weiser for Prince. That should be put squarely on the shoulders of Wefald.
-
I'm okay with weiser- He raised ksu's athletic budget, had the budget looking good, wasn't a big spender because ksu doesn't have the cash flow to be big spenders. This guy got Bob Huggins to come to lowly Manhattan, KS and he showed how much he cares for this University the day that Huggins hit the bricks (was one pissed off hombre). I have friends that are football coaches and go to the ksu coaching clinics- people there say that Weiser was great to work with and was willing to listen and consider almost anything. If you don't want a Timid AD donate your F**king money. Supposedly Weiser had an interview set up with Gary Patterson when Snyder retired and Wefald pulled the rug out from under him and hired Prince and he also wanted to fire Wooly a year earlier from when he really was fired and Wefald wouldn't let him. In my opinion Weiser wasn't the problem, it is Wefald who has turned into KSU's Al Davis.
-
I also wouldn't mind seeing FADTW back. It seems like he was the only voice of reason in the administration during his tenure here. He fought to get rid of Wooly when Skeletor Wefald wanted to let him keep the job. He wanted to find a good football coach rather than a media darling...thanks again Skeletor. And, he knew enough to get out of town when he saw the whole thing going tits up. Factor in all that with his 2 years of making friends at Big XII HQ and he seems like a quality candidate.
-
But we can get the Tower of Tim project going again!

Infinite levels of awesome.

I really have to disagree with you. Huggins was looking at us or Mizzou. It wouldnt take a lot to get a despirate coach here.
He did a terrible job of expanding the KSU athletics brand. His emphasis on club sports has really hurt us. We could have had nationally recognized programs but they are only "clubs".
Weiser and Weefer are equally responsible for the prince experiement.

43%? &@#% you Tim.

tim weiser was a bad AD???*
sheesh.
you sewer rats will complain about anything

Yep . . . dude completely drug his feet on everything, costing K-State major momentum, jeopardizing facility projects and costing K-State a basketball coach.
Great AD . . . pfft.

I highly doubt that K-state had any opportunity to gain enough resources to make any other club sports into "recognized programs" Hell it's hard enough to do that with football and basketball. Who f'n cares about wrestling or softball anyway? Both sports are worse to watch then womens basketball.

think about it though. The UTs and FSUs of the world have every sport it seems and they are all good. We have great clubs teams that compete nationally with minimal budgets from SGA. With minor funding from the AD we could have national ranked programs and grow the brand.

KSU has the minimum number of sports allowed by that Title 9 rule I believe

Kevin Lockett next AD
