Maui is fun.  You play golf?

Kannapali (sp?) beach is the hot spot.  Kapalua is nice.

If you like to snorkel, go get a bag of frozen peas from the grocery store, and feed them to the fish as you snorkel.  You'll have a swarm of those bastards all around you.  Pretty cool.

Only been to Oahu (the part with people).  I like to watch the surfers and pretend I'm just tired from surfing too much and that's the only reason I'm not out there surfing it up.  Also, I like to swim in the big waves (amazing swimmer fwiw) until I start thinking about sharks.  Once a shark enters my mind if only for a split second I high tail it to shore.  They have Tiger Sharks there  :ohno:

Look up "Dog" while you're there. Have someone post cell video of you putting your face between Beth's boobers and shaking your head back and forth.

Been to Oahu and Kauai.  Oahu has a million people everywhere, Kauai is pretty chill, not many people but the beaches aren't near as nice and the water isn't as clear.  Great snorkeling anywhere you want to go though, overall loved it. Lives up to the hype.

Loved Kauai as well, kinda cool just to drive around the island and not have it crazy busy/touristy.

completely avoidable too.  It's like cancer.  Just live your life clean and don't swim with sharks.  WTF is so hard about that :dunno:

sharks don't want to eat us necessarily, they think we're seals.  can you imagine dying because some dumbass fish thought you were a seal?  terrible.

hawaii is basically a shark infestation zone.  my motto in hawaii is "stay on the sand and be a man.  put your toe in the water, die like a seal"

+ In and Out Burger across the street

saw this somewhere.  either a tv thing, or an article discussing airport food.  lax food was called out, but the airport rating saved by the in&out cross the street.  something mhk should think about.

Been to the 4 major islands, like Kauai the best, but Maui is alot of fun too.  Head down to the southern part of the island.  Wailea is where the really nice resorts are, and I think the beaches are better.  If you want cheap eats, there is a place called Kihei Cafe that has great cheap breakfasts.  Paia is a surfer town to the east of the airport, lots of cool shops, and a great restaurant called Mama's Fish House right on the water.  Expensive though.  Paia Fish Market has great fish & chips made from Ono, and its cheap.  If you are going to do the luau, Do the Old Lahaina Luau.  Best one in Hawaii and worth the money.

go buy Maui Revealed.  Best guide book out there, and when you do the drive to Hana, they take you to some cool out of the way stuff like a black sand beach that was deserted when my wife and I went.   :fatty:  Blue Pool is also worth the detour.  Have fun.

Luaus are stupid imo.

Rather be doing something fun on the beach... but mi ties (however you spell them) are great.  And girly... but mostly great.

Pretty sure it's okay to drink a mai tai if you're actually on some tropical beach.  You drink that crap back on the mainland, and your buddies/wife/brother/children have the right, nay the responsibility, to heckle you mercilessly.

If you go to Oahu go to the North Shore and watch the big wave surfers and go to this surf town called Halweiwa.  If you like to snorkel go to Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve.  If you are just staying on Maui ignore my posts (EXCEPT THE ONES ABOUT SHARKS!)

She's my sister. Kinda a tricky way to answer that.
