"My experiences the last three seasons in the Big XII have added to my appreciation of the quality of the Virginia program, the unique set of skills that Coach Groh has and the ambition and energy of the players"
I don't usually like to throw the "h" word around because when a situation doesn't work it just doesn't work but if you wanna go there I'll be more than happy to go there with you.....

Not a shock. Unless he has a major upgrade in character, I expect him to be talking up his accomplishments and taking shots at KSU for the rest of his miserable career.

Really starting to hate our former coach....

Exactly. He will always take little shots at KSU and the Big XII. But, eveytime he goes to the bank, a part of him will thank the 2 dundering rubes who gave him over a million dollars for sucking out loud.

what he meant to say was along the lines of "my experiences as a head coach in the big 12 have really made me appreciate being an offensive coordinator at a team like UVA with no expectations and in a conference like the ACC which is less competitive."

Ah, coachspeak. Allow me to translate:
"My experiences the last three seasons in the Big XII have added to my appreciation of the quality of the Virginia program ...
My Gawd! They actually *play* some *football* out there in the midwest. I wasn't good enough to play out there and I'm sure as Hell not good enough to coach out there.
... the unique set of skills that Coach Groh has ..."
I really need a job so I'm willing to lick Al's balls for as long as necessary to get one. He may be a mediocre college HC but at least he's smart enough to hang out here on the East Coast where there's no real football played. And I know recognize that I am utterly incompetent and will never be a HC of any significance.
... and the ambition and energy of the players"
As much as I sucked ass as a HC, I was an order of magnitued worse as a recruiter. I mean I tried the Waffle House bit and the rubes bought it for a while, but I just don't know why no one liked my patented "Wildcat Growl". Thank God I'm not responsible for recruiting here at UVA, I can probably coast along on Al's coattails for years.

Holy f***.
Just when you thought he couldn't scrape any deeper into the toolbox . . . what a piece of work.

You need a nap.
You need to wake up from one if you think Snyder is going to succeed.

When does the blind love for Old Ballz go away? 5 straight losses? 7? :ksu:

I don't see much "blind love" for Snyder on this board.
That said, wins and losses in 2009 are not really the best measuring stick. ANYONE walking into this situation is set up for failure. My expectations are pretty low for the next two years (say 4-5 wins each). However, I think people are expecting the recruiting to improve drastically next year, and that should be the first real test.
