That you hated?
Where your boss is dumb, but still acts like he knows what he is doing?
One where your boss is convinced you are retarded, and you don't know why?
A job where you usually go in at 9, but your boss calls and tells you not to come in until 2, on a Friday.
Where your boss asks you do the chores at his house, b/c his spoiled son won't do them?
Man I hate being poor, but at least I have a job.

I had a boss once that treated everyone w/ a college degree or was working on getting one like they were dumb craps. He dropped out of H.S. and thought he was bad ass because he was a general Sales Manager at a car dealership and making 100K a year without student loans to pay back. Now the dipcrap's barely making 20K a year and every dealer in Wichita knows what a tool he is.
I never had to do his personal chores; but he treated me like a secretary & made me come in on Saturday's even though my Job had nothing to do w/ Sales or Service; all because, "You can't be successful in the car business & have Saturday's off"
I was actually thinking just the other day about sending him a gift basket or something.

I had a boss once that would grab candy out of our little department's candy grab jar and he would toss it over our cubicle's at us and laugh. He was a nut and a 1st class asshole. One of his teenage son's committed suicide because I'm sure he was never gonna live up to what his POS father wanted. And I doubt that asshole even really cared. Prolly only took a couple of days of vacation for the funeral.

Just do what I did start your own business. Problem solved no boss you are your own A-Hole. Well that and the IRS.

i've always told myself that if I'm a "boss" someday that I won't act like that to my employees but I guess you don't know until you are one.
the overbearing, my way or the highway crap is counter productive imho..
life is too short. If you dont' quit, you're a puss.
-
&@#% that. i'm gonna be a jerk to my employees. i will frequently remind them that they are all below me.
i'll probably take their favorite stapler, too.

Nope, just got paid a lot. My bosses were probably the biggest dumbasses in the world. I would kill myself if I had to work with people like that the rest of my life.

Worked for the Golf Pro at the Dodge City Country Club when I was in high school. Guy was a complete dick. Would not buy new equipment or even repair the old stuff. I would have to walk around the driving range and pick up balls with a shag bag. One of the guys that worked with me got nailed right on the forehead when we were picking up the range. The pro let some jackasses come down to hit, the range was supposed to be closed and he knew we were down there. Knocked the kid out cold.

Worked at a place that was open on Thanksgiving, but was very slow. I stayed up until 3 am the night before cooking a T-giving dinner for my staff and then came into work at 7. Walked right past my boss with it and he didn't say a word. When he left about 11 am, I was in the back room and he was across the building when he paged me to call him. So I did...and I got a but chewing about how its against company policy to have potluck on Holiday's. Well, 1)It wasn't potluck, I brought lunch for my employees who had to work on the holiday, and 2)It wasn't company policy. So he not only chewed me out over the phone as he was leaving, he was standing in front of one of the employees when he did it--a serious management faux pas. That employee came in to see me afterwards and just looks at me and said, "What the hell was that crap?"
I think he was just pissed that someone other than him had taken the time to do something appreciative for the employees that were giving up their holiday.
Then he followed it up the next day by not being there the day after Thanksgiving--this was a retail place, so think busy. It was district policy for all managers to be there that day.
He'd also edit time clock punches so as to avoid overtime for us when we worked overnights. I turned him into the district for that on. Of course I was the one who got run out of there for it.
