my guess is they're working to understand the roster and develop the d/o around it.  (notice order of D & O).

Think of it in business terms, we're talking the CEO of a company with a couple hundred employees.  (coaches, players, trainers, admin, facilities, etc)  Plus, he travels a ton as the lead sales guy (recruiting) as well.  Add in PR appearances, fund raising events, university meetings, etc.  Yeah, he could delegate a ton to his assistants like many coaches do, but that's not really his style.

"I think the coaching staff had declined," says a former K-State staffer who asked to remain anonymous. "Coach Snyder still had it. But the school stopped paying good money to assistants. And you usually get what you pay for. Guys were on Kansas State's staff because they had nowhere else to go. And I also think recruiting started to slide his last few years there."

-Reading this pisses me off.  How would you expect to stay at the top of the league when you don't pay assistants what they're worth?  What was the reason for this?  All fingers get pointed at Bill but he cant do it all himself.  What is ksu paying the assistants now?
